Too early to tell on battery claims
I use this in our cars to detect if they are home or not with a raspberry pi that periodically scans for their advertising beacon. Works great, strong signal through garage door.

Works well for my purposes
Using the FeasyBeacon app, it is easy to reprogram this beacon to work as an iBeacon, Eddystone, or normal BLE beacon. The replaceable AAA batteries is a bonus for running advertisements at a high rate.

yup, it's a good one
3 years on the battery so far. Great range. Easy to set up with the app.

Easy to set up
Purchased 4 units. All worked out of the box. The mobile app to setup the units works well. Would be nice if the bulk programming of units could include the advertisement type; e.g. iBeacon vs Eddy URL vs Eddy UID.Will update review after a few months of on-site testing.

The best I've found
I use these in home automation to locate what room a phone or tablet was left in.I have a few Blue Charm beacons as well and they're OK too. I like these much better due to the AAA battery usage and the range of these beacons. They're waterproof as well. I have 2 of these outside in rainy Seattle are weather and they're working just fine.They're larger than the Blue Charms but I just stick them under a table or somewhere else out of sight for I door usage.
