Why do none of my bots work? We build and leave them out in the direct hot sun for hours and absolutely nothing happens. What are we doing wrong?

do these robots work with artificial light? Could you play with them at night in a well-lit room?

Thank you for your question. The solar panel can be powered either by direct light from an incandescent bulb (not an LED or Energy saver bulbs) or direct sunlight.

This kit does not charge, rather it operates only while in direct light. Because the solar panel is small, it can require a good amount of energy for sufficient output. We kindly recommend trying one of the following: (Outdoors) Direct light from the sun (indirect or cloud-covered sunlight will not work). (Indoors) Direct light from an incandescent bulb (not an LED or an energy saver bulb).
