I am 5 foot 11, 230 pounds waist size true 40. I ordered the khaki 40 inch expandable to 42 inch.Love the fit and they are comfortable. Heads up the belt disconnects from the back of the buckle.

Nice pair of pants, but specs indicate the XL has a 30" inseam. Mine were closer to 32". Add cost of alteration if you have a shorter inseam.

Purchased these more for work. Needed something with a bit more utility and style for working than basic jeans or cargo shorts. These pants are lightweight and seem to do the job well. I noted the extra stitching over the bottom end of the pockets like some other posts, but I do not believe this is an accident. I haven’t been able to find an official reason for this, though I’d assume it’s to prevent ripping of the bottom of the pocket. While the stitch narrows the opening of the pocket, it’s still functional enough.

These are at a great price point and so far are pretty good. light and comfortable. The front button is suspect (I would rather a regular button) and the belt isn’t worth keeping. If you can find Columbia products on sale, their quality seems better, but these are acceptable if you’re in a squeeze.Note: I wish they made these as converable shorts.

Nice fit! Articulated knees are super. To improve them, I would delete the teeny tiny vertically zippered thigh pockets. Too small to be useful for camp but serious mileage hikers NEVER hike with loads in their front/thigh pockets-its just annoying and inefficient. Otherwise, a super value pant! I will update re. durability of zippers and fabric (but remember-these are TRAIL pants, not Double Faced Carhartt Surveyor/rabbit hunter pants!

Great to use on vacation - lightweight, folds easily and doesn't take up much space, zipper on main pocket.

I love these pants! I own over 8. I wear them in the tropics (Caribbean) where they get wet in the rain, soaked in the sea and dried by the sun all while I wear it. I sit anywhere with them. Great for keeping mosquitos from getting to your legs. Cleaning is a breeze, rinse and hang to dry, done. Dries really fast. I also wear in the fall and winter in US with underamor. Very lightweight and warm. The belts and buttons are cheap, so I gave it a 4 star. The zippers and pockets are ok.
