Good fit for our American Plumber whole house water filter casing. Does a good job keeping everything water tight. Make sure you put a good amount of food grade silicone lubricant on beforehand. Great that there are 5 o’rings in a pack.

I replaced my filter cartridge (American Plumber WVC-34), cleaned, lubed sump and O-ring. Leaked when I applied water, one drop every few seconds.Instead of hassling with O-Ring and whatnot, I ordered this bag of 5, replaced the O-ring, relubed, no leak. Conclusion: it's not worth trying to reuse the O-ring, just replace it with the filter.Other: It took me half an hour to hunt down confirmation that this and other O-rings were the right size and not a match for the 3/4" pipe size. Yes, this is the 4+" O-ring that goes on the sump, the thing that holds the filter. Looks like a lot of filter vendors use the same size.

I spent hours trying to find the correct sizt for our OLD whole house water filter system and when I tried to use them this weekend they were way to large. So I have to run out and buy a whole new filter system or go with out until I got some more o-rings. The system was old and from what I found these o-ring should have match the old manufacturers specks but they did not.
