It is not padded, which I prefer because it does not add any volume to my already significant size. It is delicate but strong. Smooth cups are good under thin shirts.

Unfortunately, this was unavailable in my true size. But the bra itself is lovely and does fit perfectly in the correct size. I continue to hope that it will be come available.
