The terrible price of War
Ferocious, heart breaking. The true cost of nationalism. It's a difficult book to read because of the fact that it was needless death on a wholesale scale.

Best WWII Okinawa Book
I cannot recommend this enough. Excellent book containing priceless stories from the civilians perspective. There are many books based on the victor's perspective but this book offers the other point of view. Planned an Okinawa trip around many sites mentioned in this book.

The "Typhoon of Steel" - the last and most horrendous battle of WW II- the perspective of civilian survivors- no holds barred.
I regard this is an important addition to anyone building a library of historical materials regarding Okinawa. The initial commentary by the former Governor who was conscripted by the Japanese as a teenager prior to the battle is poignant and important.

Okinawa and WW2
This book is a hard read but it does open your eyes. I have learned a lot and am still learning all that took place during the war. I do recommend but again it is not for the faint of heart.

it is perfect!
Delivery time was correct and the product was everything I had hoped for. As I’m off to Ascot races next month, it is perfect!
