Good cam, but little quirky for PRO
I finally got this and tested it out to compare against my Brave 4 and Brave 7 that I already have. As a Pro edition, I was bummed in the interface and strange functions. The B4 Pro had an older firmware than my regular B4, which I thought was odd. Here are some things about the Brave 4 Pro. Note, I am a hiker and using it for such purposes. Overall a really good starter and feature packed starter camera. I probably just got an old stock. If you got one, contact akasa support to remedy Pros: - 20MP picture and 4k recordings are nice like my Brave 7. - Large front facing screen. - Easy remove frame/cage/holder (same as B4). - Touch screen. - Akaso always provide generous amounts of attachment accessories. A+ Quirks - nit picks. Lol - Battery cover is NOT attached to the body (not hinged). - If you remove the battery, even for second, the datetime resets to factory time to 1-1-2019. - Zoom feature only works in time lapse or burst modes. Does not work in regular photo or video mode. - The front and back screens are plastic, not glass. - When in screen saver mode, there is a lock slide you must do to see the display. Every time. Similar to cell phones. Unable to disable. -USB port is MICRO USB for charging and data transferring. Not USB-C found on B4, B7, and other Brave cams. Sadly, I have decided to return this. Since I got this purely for the EIS 2.0 and larger front screen that my B4 lacked. But my B7 is still my main go to. In summary, I suspect i got an old new stock and should be resolved in the new inventory. Get this and try it. ‐------ Btw, Akaso support is fantastic. Best I've worked with. Any issues you have they are prompt to address to make things right. They helped me on some things with my other Brave 7 camera. Very happy. 5 star support.

Great camera for the money
Use this for when we go on our Ebike rides, works great, good video quality and battery life. Image stabilization allows you to watch the recorded video without getting dizzy. Came with all kinds of mounting options. I even use it on the front of my tractor so I can see where the front of my bucket is. For the price it's hard to beat.

Using as Dash Cam - So Far, So Good
Am using it primarily as a dash cam with an old radar detector suction cup mount zip tied to one of the included camera mounts. Recommendations: -The adhesive on the provided mounts is essentially useless, so I recommend thorough testing before trusting any of it. - Keep the plastic desktop style mount (see img) which is included but glued to the packaging as part of the display. Just rip it off, tear away any remaining bits and adhere some kind of bottom to it, like index board or rubber matting. Although they include many mounting types, they do not include a simple desktop mount. Maybe they intended for us to keep the one I mention- maybe not - don't know. Video Quality = Very Good. I'm only using 1080 setting to save battery life but may up it to the next setting soon. Seems pretty stable with correct settings enabled for dash cam use. I used it with the desktop mount (I salvaged) for some outdoor kitten video testing and was pleased with the results. Camera Options = Very Good. Has all the options I would need for it's intended use. Option Menu = An old school style menu system but is easy to navigate once one gets familiar Battery Life = I have nothing to compare vs similar cameras. I can only say get two or more batteries if you can. I don't drive every day but I'm getting the impression that constant or frequent use, especially at higher resolutions is going to be a serious battery drain. Misc Notes: – The memory disk will likely need some assistance from a small pointing tool (or tiny mouse fingers) to properly sit the card into place far enough to click into position. My card kept popping out and would not 'click' in. I thought it might be broken but I had a suspicion that it just needed some help so I did a quick search to confirm and proceeded to get it seated properly. - I did not install nor would I install the phone app. I don't need it, but more importantly, there is no way in under any circumstances I am ever installing a Chine based/owned app on my phone. I strongly suggest anyone considering doing so to read the entire agreement first, or copy/paste it into ChatGPT for a privacy and security review .. and good luck to you.

Fantastic Budget Action Cam That Overdelivers
We picked up the AKASO Brave 4 Pro for our trip to Thailand, and it’s been awesome from the start. It comes with a bunch of adapters and mounts, so we were ready to use it right out of the box without buying extras. The camera turns on fast, and the menu system is straightforward and intuitive. The touchscreen is bright and very responsive, with great colors that make it easy to review footage on the go. We’re mostly shooting in 4K at 30fps, and the quality has been surprisingly sharp for a camera at this price point. The waterproof case has already been tested in pools and beaches, no leaks, no issues. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi pairing worked fine for transferring clips to our phones. It’s also super lightweight, which is nice when you’re on the move all day. One standout feature I didn’t expect was the front screen, which is really handy when filming yourself or doing vlog-style shots. Makes framing so much easier. Battery life has been solid, we got extra batteries just in case, but haven’t even needed to swap them out mid-day yet. And considering this is a fraction of the price of a GoPro, it’s impressive how close the quality feels. You even get features like electronic image stabilization, adjustable angle lens, and time-lapse mode. Overall, for casual travel videos or adventurous outings, this camera punches way above its price. No regrets at all.
