Maxpedition Condor II (Khaki)
My only concern when I purchased the condor II was that it might be too wide, in which case I would get the falcon II. Upon receiving it I was surprised with the size. It is actually smaller than the pictures made it be, which made it the perfect size for me (1.75 m, 80kg).It may not have a lot of internal organization but it has plenty of room to make up for it and all the MOLLE attachment points all over the extrerior lets you get all the organization you want outside. The main compartment easily fits a 17" laptop, textbooks and notebooks so it works great as a school bag. As it is , I don't it is not big enough to be a BOB (unless you add some pouches) but it is the perfect size to be a day backpack, a get-home-bag, a day hike bag or an overnighter, so it is a really versatile backpack. All the zippers are covered by a membrane to keep water and dirt out and the zipper never gets caught in it!. Smooth and quick opening in all the compartments. It has a rubberized bottom and webbing to carry a bedroll or a rolled jacket. It has a lot of webbing all over it: compression straps, adjustment, sternum and waist straps, etc. which means you'll be able to adjust it to the most comfortable position for you but it also means it's going to have a lot of loose webbing dangling around. I wish Maxped included some way to tuck all the webbing but you have to figure out that yourself. Web dominators, elastic loops or velcro tape work fine if you want it to have a 'cleaner' look.Something I noted about the condor II is that it sits low on your shoulders and high on your back so you have to tinker with the shoulder straps for a bit until you get the right height, otherwise the bottom will pinch your lower back against your pants and belt. Once you get it right, the shoulder and sternum straps distribute the weight so well you barely feel it.Also, the pictures are a little misleading. They make it look brownish but it actually has a green tint to it. At first I thought I ordered the foliage green by mistake. I would've prefered it to be have more brown to it but it is not a dealbreaker. All in all, I'm very pleased with it. Perfect size, really comfortable, great durability and so many options for customization.Update 3/28/13I've been using the candor for a week now, not long enough to review its durability but long enough to note a couple of minor issues.First, the handle could use some padding. I don't see it coming off anytime soon, but that thoughness makes it uncomfortable to move it around if you have some weight in the backpack. The other thing I noticed is that the main compartment has a slip pocket that tends to get in the way. That pocket has plenty of space and it adds to the internal organization of the condor but since the backpack is a top-loader it makes it hard to load. I added some velcro to keep it closed when not in use.

An Excellent Bug-Out Bag.
This pack has to be one of the best bug out bags I've ever seen, or owned. The material is top grade, and it's constructed well and thoughtfully. I'm sure there are much larger packs out there, and when you buy them you have to check the cubic inch capacity before you get it. If you know what you're looking for, then you will know what size the pack will be when it arrives.1950 cubic inches of packing space. You can cram stuff in this pack, and keep on going. The pack is loaded with MOLLE attachment straps so you can expand your load even more. It has a belt strap, as well as a sternum strap. The pack is also capable of loading a 100 oz hydration pack, and it fits neatly in the front. The tube secures with nylon webbing. The only downside I could find was that the bottom straps which would hold on your ground pad or sleeping bag were a touch short. Maybe my rig was just too thick, I don't know. I would have preferred them to be a bit longer, but it's no big deal. There's plenty of ways to bunjee your gear onto this pack, if the straps don't exactly fit. Not a problem at all.I don't know why anyone would deem this pack "uncomfortable", I thought it was quite comfortable, and it can be used on long trips without any problem. I think I have at least 40 lbs of gear in mine, and I experienced no discomfort whatsoever.Maxpedition has a winner here. Some retailers ask much more money than the price here on Amazon. So this is, for the most part, a bargain. Well worth the money.

Everything I Was Looking For
This bag is great; well made, just the right size, and versatile. I have been looking for a "do it all bag" for a year now and my browsing kept me coming back to Mepedition and Amazon. The Condor 2 seemed like the backpack for me. I took this on two trips since I got it a couple months ago. The first was a 4 day outdoors adventure including hiking, fishing, ATVing, and shooting. The other was a day hike up to a National Park cave. Every time I passed by a group of adventurers, I heard "He's got a great backpack". This was self assuring that I made a good buy.I wanted a bulletproof, reliable, comfortable, and adaptable pack. Sure, some were rated higher in one or maybe two of these categorize by customers and patrons. But not one bag, even from Maxpedition, could meet all my demands. And the price, with Amazon beating everyone price (coast + shipping) it was hard to find a reason to buy anything else. Trust me, I'm finicky when it comes to dropping a bill for a backpack, but I was tired of spending $20 here and $40 there for a bag that I had to replace either because of the functionality or it just didn't last. The only downside to this bag is that the Maxpedition modular pouches coast so much. Expect to pay the price of the bag itself if you want to add two extra medium size molle pockets. I am cheap but still found was of using the molle straps and Velcro cable tie to secure everything from a survival knife to fishing pools and reels for me and my son.Using the molle system the Maxpedition Condor 2 pack can be a 3-4 day rucksack. As is, you can get by with a 2 day supply of food, water (I took a 72 oz water bladder), emergency kit, tools, and a change of clothes if you pack right. When not used for the outdoors, the pack is great to hold a laptop in the padded water bladder compartment.I can say so much more about this bag but I'll end hear. Save yourself time and frustration. Just buy this from Amazon and call it good for the next few years. If you're like me, spend some nights researching and I'll bet you'll come to the same conclusion.

Small but so perfect.
First and foremost, this is the best backpack I've EVER owned. I've probly gone through one a year for the past 8 year. Always cheap $50 bags or so. I finally caught this one at a good price after watching it for years, and I just had to get it. It is incredibly tough, with a great structural design to it. All the straps are heavy duty and the buckles seem like great quality. It's a bit smaller than I imagined. But I'm glad about that. It's the perfect size for a day pack, get yourself some attachments, and you easily got a 3 day pack. I was real close to taking it on a 7 day backpacking trip, but unfortunately couldn't afford the extra pouches in time. I've been excited to carry this bag as my edc, but also for day hikes. If you're looking for the toughest, baddest backpack on the planet, look no more.

Excelente material.
La calidad de estas mochilas es incuestionable. Son mochilas para toda la vida, y darle mucha caña en el monte o ciudad, lo resistiran todo.

Maxpedition what else...
