They do make writing on screen feel more like paper as the very slightly rough surface provides a small amount of glide resistance. This is more like writing on paper and improves the legibility of the result. I don’t find it affects normal use of the touch screen at all. My negative would be that installation was a bit fiddly and I couldn’t get it on without a couple of bubbles remaining.
