It's suitable for my use and for my shower
It's a little small for my use but it's worth buying.

Nice
This item flexes a little bit when you sit on it. But it seems to work well so far.

Flimsy, slight angle down when sitting on it
Easy to install but the holes are setup at best to only catch one bolt in a stud. No way the mollys that come with it will hold up. I drilled an extra hole to get 2 screws/bolts in a stud. Still feels flimsy. Also slight angle down when seat is being used so it feels like you can slide off. My search for a better shower seat continues.

Sturdy, folds very flat to the wall. Needs to be attached to studs.
When planning my recent bathroom renovation, my wife wanted something to sit on while shaving her legs. I chose this seat because:1. It mounts to the wall with 5 large lag bolts2. it folded very flat to the wall3. It folds down in one motion, with no support leg to deal withBecause I was able to plan, and already had the walls stripped to the studs, I mounted a 2x8 between the wall studs to attach this. I am very happy I did that, and am not too sure I would trust that the large wall anchors that came included would last over time. In my opinion, this should be attached to at least one wall stud.As you can see in the picture, I painted the plastic trim piece in antique bronze to match my other fixtures. However, the chrome finish that it came with was very high quality and would have lasted a long time. It was actually very hard to sand/scuff it to take paint, but it is doable and the finish came out perfectly. The seat itself is very solid, and I don't anticipate having any problems in that regard. You can't really tell from the pictures and description, but the front edge when folded down is about 2 inches higher than the back. For this reason, I set the top of the included drilling template at exactly 16 inches, which put the from edge at 18 inches above the shower floor. That is the perfect height for an average person (I am 5'7"). The lower back edge actually makes it quite comfortable.I can't think of a single thing I don't like about it at this point.

Slippery!
I almost slid off the 1st time I sat on it wet! Im scared to use it. If it wasnt already installed with holes in my shower wall, I would return it. Do No Recommend!

A perfect addition to our shower.
We love this shower chair. It's just the right size and folds up when not in use, so it's not in the way. You can sit on it or use it for a place to put your leg for shaving purposes. It's very sturdy and safe.
