Time will tell. Had house repiped from old galvanized to PEX and added a whole house filter using these filters. Seems like a good balance between a good house filtering & cost.

I am new to the business of well-system maintenance, but was horrified at the state of the pleated filter I found when I examined an existing whole house filter in a recently purchased home. Crazy how good they work. Before putting in a filter system my showers and toilets would turn orange within a week. These are just as good as the more expensive GE brand if not better.
