Works great, first one tested took a 9v source down to 5.02 volt. These will work just fine for make a TPS sensor 5v power supply.

They do the job in reducing voltage to 5. (Actually 4.92 v by my measurement). In this era of tiny components, these are relatively large. Check dimensions if space is tight.
