Work very well for precision oiling... oil not included
These are applicators only, no oil is in the body of handle. I thought they had oil in them so was surprised when I received them to learn they do not. However, it is partially my fault as this is covered in the Q&A area but the description should emphasize this as well IMO. Normally, when purchasing tools a buyer is probably just getting started in this hobby and needs to be able to rely on good, accurate descriptions to help guide purchasing. These seem like precision applicators and so far, they have been excellent at allowing me to apply oil only where I wanted. The vinyl pouch they came in is very brittle and has that "chinesium" feel but I am not keeping them in it anyway.

Helped me to clean and oil my diving watch
I have slowly been teaching myself watch repair over the last year or so (using primarily The Watch Repairer's Manual by Fried), and eventually decided to take apart and oil my Seiko Marinemaster 300m dive watch. As such, I needed to order some oilers and decided to try this group from the Swiss firm Bergeon, that has been making watch repair tools for over 200 years now. They came safely a few days later and I got to work over the past weekend, slowly disassembling the movement (which is made more difficult in the Marinemaster because the case is monocoque and can only be accessed from the front). I primarily used Moebius watch oils and was able to complete the overhaul after a few days. I can say that this set of Bergeon oilers worked fine and allowed me to place tiny drops of oil only where needed. The metal tips of the oilers did not bend easily and each oiler has a plastic cap for shielding when not in use. The hexagonal grips also prevent the oilers from rolling off your workspace. I will continue to test as I gain more experience but for now, I would give them 4 stars. They worked fine and I would recommend to others.

They work
A classic set of oilers. I highly recommend polishing the tips, as it makes them far more effective. Just DO NOT overdo it! Or you'll destroy the fine tips. I tried using a buffing wheel with polish & ruined my first set. I switched to a soft ultra fine foam lapping pad & made a few quick passes, which worked perfectly on the next set. You could start with like 800 grit then move to 1200-1500 & then 2000+ for the final polish. It's soft metal, so a few passes on each side is plenty. Once polished, they work great. Without the polish, oil likes to rest across the surface rather than bead at the tip. The ones that cost $30 each are simply factory polished, so save yourself the money & do it yourself.

This item was quickly received and although I haven't used them yet they appear well made, however, I feel that they don't really appear any better made than oilers at a much cheaper price.
