Fits my 2016 Gear VR Samsung Edge 7 setup perfectly. Long lasting battery. Adds some weight to an already heavyish headset but that's VR for you at this stage of development.So basically, it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Keep the phone from overheating, especially with not-so-great coded VR apps. Even the well-programmed ones would cause the phone to overheat eventually which makes any kind of long gaming session impossible. I've seen YouTube videos of knuckleheads trying all kinds of crackpot ideas to keep their cool, like duct taping a bag of frozen peas to their headset.This is a tried and true method used in every computer you own to keep your CPU cool. An exhaust fan. Period. And it works like a charm. I've burned my phone battery down from 100 to 20 without any overheat warning. I've watched things for hours with the power cord plugged in because I didn't have to move my head around a lot and no overheating.If you want to play intense games or are like me and can go for long VR sessions you need this. Or you need a lot of frozen peas.

Absolute must have if you want to keep your phone cool while it's being used in the Samsung Gear VR - Virtual Reality Headset . I wasn't sure with all the models out there that this one would fit. It does fit like a charm. Has a usb port to charge up the internal batteries for the fan so it doesn't add anymore drain to your phone that is already working hard. I was so nervous that my phone would be damaged because it really overheats when you are using the goggles. Now with this cooling fan the phone is downright cold. Should last too because the on/off is just a touch sensor and not a mechanical switch that could break.

This cooling fan is great. I have noticed that using the VR with my phone my phone would get really hot really fast. So I bought this hoping that it would help a little. When I am using the VR and my Phone with the cooling fan I am now able to use it for a lot longer period of time with out my phone over heating. This is a must if you are going to be using the Samsung Gear VR.

The fan is a little louder than I would like. If you're not wearing headphones it can get pretty annoying.Also, it adds a little bit of weight, so i find myself adding it only when I need to.Keeps the phone nice and cool though as designed.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. Now he can spend more time on his Samsung VR . He says he is not sweating under the eye piece any more. We would defiantly recommen this.
