Solid mount, mounted into drywall with no studs.
Fantastic mount! I didn't expect this to work as well as it does. Truth be told, it couldn't be much better. Now, I wasn't sure from the product description, but you do need to install it using the two half-inch toggle bolts. The bolts it came with are very long; I had to file them down with a Dremel to get them to fit in the wall. The nails up top provide some added support and help secure it close to the wall, but the stability is due in large part to those toggle bolts. I wouldn't trust this mount without those, so I don't recommend it if you have qualms about drilling out a half-inch hole in the wall. It also has options for mounting into concrete; just follow the instructions and you'll be fine. It even comes with a half-inch drill bit that you can turn by hand if you are doing a drywall mount. We mounted the TV directly into drywall with no studs (the studs we have are metal and oddly located, so we could not use them). I mounted a 55-inch Samsung 4K LED TV (2016 model), and it sits as close to flush against the wall as possible. This mount made our small living room look more open, since the TV could sit directly on the wall rather than sticking out a few inches. It looks great and holds great. I was nervous at first (since this was the first time I had mounted a TV in my house, and I'd heard horror stories), but I've learned to trust that it's not going to fail. We're about eight months in, and it holds great. One thing that I will also note is that because of how close the TV sits to the wall with this mount, it's pretty difficult if not impossible to access the rear of the TV while it is mounted. If you need to insert/remove a cable or access any controls on the back, I would recommend carefully removing it from the mount first, otherwise you will risk dropping the TV. Also keep in mind there is no way to adjust angles with this type of mount. You just attach the mount to the wall, the bracket to the TV, and then carefully set the TV on the mount. The cord in the middle hangs free and allows you to pull down a metal lever that extends the width of the mount and secures the bracket in the mount. Again, just follow instructions and you're fine.

Cheap and a pretty intuitive design. Don't be afraid to buy this and install yourself!
Okay so this review isn't going to be super in depth. It's mainly to help people understand why they should get it and a little bit of instruction. I bought it mainly because, at the time, it was cheaper than every other one and it's design appealed to me. And everything was as advertised! Installation was easy (disclaimer--I like to build things). The instructions are easier to understand than other instructions I've read (though I still found myself re-reading the same instructions a couple of times to make sure). If you have never installed one of these before, the fear of your nice TV dropping will be there unfortunately. But, if you do the part where the anchor is installed correctly, IT WILL WORK. I stress that to give others confidence. That said...did I poke more holes than I needed to? Yes. Did I keep on checking to see if the TV moved a little after a day, week, and month and a few months had passed? Yes. In short, I really think this type of TV mount, needs to be used more often--mine is a 55 inch and I know that most people get this size when they get a big TV. The other stud-based anchoring types are the ones I see everyone use and it's a much harder install if you don't have a stud finder. If you've got drywall and you're afraid of the studs not being at the proper place to center your TV, buy this. Tools needed: Flat/Phillips Screwdrivers Level (The ruler with the bubble in the middle) Stud finder (you can also knock on the wall--go to Youtube to learn) A cheap drill Pencil for markings. Time needed: 20-45 minutes. Things to note: Sometimes your drywall won't be completely flat. This may affect the wall mount being able to "lay flat" on the wall. Don't worry, the wall mount will still work even if it's not flush against the wall. Just make sure you install everything according to the instructions. It's been a year and my 55 inch tv has not moved an inch!

So far, pretty good
I just got this installed and followed a previous reviewer's recommendation to put the bracket on the television before hanging the wall bracket to ensure the TV will be placed in the right spot on the wall. We ended up putting the bracket on wall studs since we had a stud finder and the studs were placed in a way that made it easy. I've never had a television mounted on the wall, so I'm a little uneasy about the whole setup. However, the wall bracket seems solid and the television is sturdy. I will update if the whole thing ever comes down unexpectedly, but so far it seems to be working well. It was easy to put together, but the instructions were not very clear. Just a bunch of pictures with letters for the parts, showing the general area of where everything is supposed to go. Still, my son and I were able to figure it out and get the TV mounted in about 30 minutes. We hung it a little higher than I would have wanted because we expected a little bit of tilt, which is exactly what happened. In fact, the pictures in the instructions specifically state that a little forward tilt is the correct installation.

Very durable
Over all, this product is very good. Only a few minor things, most of which I didn’t have to deal with, but definitely worth knowing and considering. From the reviews, I read that depending on what your hole patterns are on your TV, you may have to slide the entire mount to the left or right on your TV to accommodate that, and because of that, you should start there before you mount the back plate on your wall after in case it will not be centered on your TV. Luckily, I did not run into that issue with my TV. Also, I read in many reviews that the built-in level was not exactly on, so I didn’t even try to use it at all. I have a magnetic level I just attached right to the bottom and I didn’t even pay attention the the built-in level, so unfortunately I can’t say whether or not it was accurate or not. Pros: The quality of the construction and materials of this TV mount are great. It seems like it will hold up very well. Cons: The instructions can be a little difficult to follow. I’m fairly handy and for the most part, I can typically assemble and figure things out without needing to follow the instructions, but I’m not afraid to pick them up anytime I’m not 100% sure of what I’m doing. I decided to do that right from the start with this because of the reviews and I’m glad I did. Although the instructions were a bit difficult at times, they were helpful, I just had to go over them a few time while looking at the TV mount and all the parts to figure out what it was telling me. Over all though, the instructions were helpful in the end.

Great item!
We used this item to install a larger TV in our RV and were limited to space due to our slide-out. This was the perfect solution! It installed easily to the back of our new flat screen (MAKE CERTAIN TO VERIFY THE VESA MEASUREMENT WILL FIT YOUR TV. Most will but there are a few that are not compatible.) It was also easy to mount to the wall with retrofitting backing as with RVs, there may not be a solid backing but this is not the fault of this mount. Again, we built out using a solid piece of compressed board, and it worked like a charm! The mount connected to the TV needs little space in which to attach to the mount on the wall - Only about 1.5 inches. The locking mechanism seems to work well ... We couldn't get the latching system to detach even though we tried, until we disengaged using the string which dangles down to the bottom, and which allows us easy access, again a space saver. While there are other close mount systems available that are attractive as well - one with a locking mechanism that rests on the top of the bar which would require more space to allow you to get your hand/arm access - most require a good deal of space just to attach the TV to the wall piece. This IS the only unit that allowed the largest TV available because we didn't have to give up valuable space. We are so impressed that we have just received a second one to use to attach a unit in the bedroom. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

DO NOT listen to all the Whiney McWhinersons…
First of all, I never write reviews (even though all my online purchases strongly depend on them) so this is big deal. (I am a big deal ;). This tilting tv wall mount is an excellent product. It was super easy to install my 32" flat screen and I'm about to use the ever-so-convenient "Buy It Again" button so that I can hang my 50", too! Yes, the instructions were comical. I mean, there were misspellings and at times it looked like the author's finger laid on the "g" a little too long. However, unless you have an IQ of a prune (which I'm going to estimate is an intelligence quotient of about 3.7) the instructions are easy to decipher. Use your not-so-common sense, y'all! All you do is measure where you'd like your bracket to be (I eyeballed it because I'm a Beast), mark the area with a pencil, drill your holes, afix said bracket and attach tv. C'mon y'all. Now, I will admit the manufacturer did not provide me with the correct screws to attach the hanging bracket to the tv. The screws were either too small or too big. However, there were several options so when I go to buy another TV I'm sure one of the given sets will work just fine. I did have to make a trip to Home Depot to get the right hardware. And it seems that a size #10 32-1 1/4" screw fit my tv just perfectly. The application was so simple and the product so spot-on, that I refuse to ding them for that. Basically, buy this. It's great. I think you'll be hard-pressed to find another no-stud installation wall mount this easy to work with. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

so it can't be good, right
I had some initial hesitations about using a no-stud wall mount. Also, this thing is cheap in price, so it can't be good, right? Wrong. This wall mount rocks. I used it to mount a 65" LG C& OLED. I spent a bunch of money on this set, and thought I'd need to buy an over-engineered and expensive mount. In fact, I ordered a couple, but they really didn't seem to work for the space I wanted to mount my set. The mount came with all of the hardware I needed. The included template made prep work a breeze. I ended up using a stud finder to mount one end into a stud, and the anchors for the other end. There have been some criticisms of the instructions, but I found them easy to follow. The hardest part of this job is getting your measurements correct, so you're going to have to do some easy math. But overall, this was a breeze. The actual mount and bracket both seem well-constructed. I compared this to other mounts, and I didn't notice a difference in quality or heft. This is a bare bones mount, so don't expect a lot of tilt options. I recommend mount to anyone. Don't over spend on a mount unless you need tilt or swivel features.

Instructions were incorrect. Clearly 5/32" drill and TS screws don't fit!
I got these on Amazon for my 32" TV after reading a bunch of reviews. The installation looked fairly straightforward. There are many different ways to install it based on the wall you're installing this on. I chose to install the drywall + stud installation method. The instructions asked me to use a 5/32" drill to drill the holes and then use the TS screw. Clearly the TS screws were much larger than the drill hole and I believe the instructions got it wrong. I had to make a bigger hole and then use the L screws to fasten it. Plus the screws aren't the best of quality too. I could see the metal chips coming off of the screw head as I used a driver to screw them in. The final product was better though. The installation looks sturdy but since it's a 32" TV, I'm hoping it'll stay put.

Superb!
Design & Build quality are excellent. Supplied screws and nuts and other tools are nice. The installation instructions booklet contains detailed explanation. They are giving so much importance just for a tiny wall mount. Amazing Amazonbasics.
