ARMORY Spray Primer - Black

I tried to save some cash by purchasing this low cost primer advertised for minis. Unfortunately, after following the instructions for ideal temp and distance spraying, I was treated to a divine, detail obscuring, popcorn finish that had me jumping up and down in frustration like the Lucky charms leprekahn. I've been painting miniatures, action figures, model kits, you name it for the better part of 30 years and I know the difference between good and bad paint as well as different paints for different applications. From my experience, I can tell you that the problem here is that this primer was formulated for larger surfaces like the side of a car, mail box, table and chairs... And so forth. This paint is certainly not for finely detailed miniatures that cost an arm and a leg. I strongly believe these guys got a hold of cheap black primer at a giant home store and peeled the wrappers off and stuck their label on it then sold it for 3x what they paid. Bottom line, avoid this primer for your minis and stick with the $$$ Citadel Chaos Black.
