CF7-HIGH20 Custom Chromeline Body Side Molding Compatible with Toyota Highlander - Midnight Black (218)

The profile of this molding creates a point on the front door that can create a significant door ding in adjacent cars, as shown in the attached photo.Since I installed the molding before knowing about this issue, my solution is to file down the point. The filed area will need to be touched up with paint. I contacted the manufacture: they were not willing to acknowledge this design issue nor provide any support such as paint to touch up the needed fix.Another option would be to install the molding more than the 1/8" from the front door edge that the instructions recommend. This shift would allow the door edge to bump an adjacent car rather than the more concentrated point of the molding. The 3M adhesive works incredibly well, so moving the molding after installed is not practical.Otherwise this molding does look good and works well with the body lines of the Highlander. The molding was shipped quickly and very well packed.
