Eco-committed Antipodean brand - and a great vegan facial serum...
I've used a facial serum for some years - always the same one. I read an article about skincare saying that it's no bad thing to ring the changes so recently I've been trying some other serums out. This Antipodes Glow Ritual Vitamin C Serum, suitable for all skin types, is the latest, the least affordable - but certainly one of the best.Antipodes is a premium brand from New Zealand. This vegan beauty product - certified as such by the Vegetarian Society - and made in New Zealand, arrives beautifully packaged as you'd expect with information about the serum on the back of the pack. One of the main differences about Glow Ritual serum is that it contains Kakadu plum, an Australian native which contains a hundred times the vitamin C of oranges and promotes skin radiance. Also in this serum are anti-oxidant rich Vinanza grape and kiwi to help brighten the complexion. Another ingredient that appealed to me was bakuchiol - a smoothing and firming natural retinol alternative. I'd not knowingly come across this before but I recall reacting badly a few years ago to a retinol based skin cream so I've avoided it since - pleased to learn there is an alternative. Plant based hyaluronic acid is present to boost skin hydration. The serum is packaged in a droppered glass bottle which, like the box, is recyclable. All the printing on the packaging is made of vegetable inks - something I've rarely encountered but which demonstrates a real commitment to environmental concerns. This Antipodes' serum is a serious pleasure to use. The fragrance is a blend of vanilla and mandarin and the glass dropper is angled. It dispenses a product that looks like it contains sunshine - there appear to be miniscule specks included in the serum which has the consistency of a loose gel. It applies easily, absorbs well and dries quickly. Use once a day, applied after cleansing and before moisturiser.I was very impressed by this product. It gave my more mature skin a definite luminosity and provided a good base for make up. My skin certainly felt more hydrated. Antipodes Glow Ritual Vitamin C Serum costs around £10 more than my usual brand for the same amount - 30ml. However, this is one serum I would genuinely consider switching to. The results were evident - and rather impressive - plus I like the apparent brand ethos.

Great results !
I was nervous to try this because I have sensitive skin. However, I layered it will a great moisturizer and my skin didn't get irritated at all! I've heard vitamin c does amazing things for your skin, so I was so excited to try this.I really enjoyed the scent and how quickly it was absorbed into my skin. It made my face feel so hydrated and left my skin looking radiant. It really tightens and plumps your skin. It leaves you with what I call a healthy glow. I really liked the formula as well its lightweight and doesn't irritate your face. It also doesn't leave a residue behind when it dries.Highly recommended!

Good vitamin C serum with a lovely smell.
This Vitamin C Glow Ritual serum from Antipodes with Hyaluronic Acid comes in a 30ml dark bottle with a pipette applicator. It has a light gel consistency, spreads, and is absorbed quickly into the skin. The product claims to help fade dark spots, diminish fine lines and wrinkles, adds hydration, reduces dark circles, etc. Basically, on paper, it’s a great anti-aging serum, targeted for dry and oily skin. It has a lovely smell of vanilla and mandarin. The Vitamin C used in this formulation is from Kakadu plum which is said to contain 100 times more vitamin C than oranges. I can see Hyaluronic Acid but it’s formulated lower in the ingredient list, which to me communicates just more effort in the skincare formulation's ability to perform.I have been using it for almost three weeks now, and I can’t say I have noticed any improvements in the dark spots, fine lines, or dark circles.Having said that, it might be more suitable for younger skin with less skin damage. For the current price of £37.48, it might be a little bit pricey for anyone who wants to give it a try and see if it would be suitable for their skin.In short, I feel that this serum has potential, it may take a longer time to work for mature skin, but might work faster for younger skin.Thank you for reading. Hope you have found the review helpful.
