How does the chain speed compare to a gas saw? Is there a spec for actual chain speed?

I can’t answer for the chain speed but it is comparable to a gas saw in terms of chain speed. The big difference will be the length of the battery vs gas. You will always get a bigger bang for your buck with a gas saw. I usually can get about 20-30 good minutes with each battery and I would figure you could get about 45 minutes to an hour on the same use of gas. I have several extra batteries and I use this around the woods near my E Texas home. If you already have lots of Milwaukee tools, I would add this to your collection. If you have industrial or heavy logging needs, this is simply not the saw for you. For what it is designed for, and for the uses I have put it toward, I am pretty happy.

What do you mean by big battery? Is the x18 lithium cx5.0 considered big? I have a brand new extra one and wondered if that would be effective?

Has anyone fitted a smaller bar and chain (12") to this saw?

I have not tried that Btw the chain it comes with is on the cheap side bought a different 16” and last a lot longer

Does this saw package come with any other accessories? Case, bag, etc

Greetings, no case just the plastic chain guard shown in the picture. It is a shortcoming but I do like this saw and I was a 30 year gas chain saw user...
