I work in a giant freezer mostly 30 degrees F but there are parts that are -10 and -30. My entire body gets cold but my face and head are warm and I even break a sweat. I can't recommend it enough. I like all the versatile nature of this hat. I'll probably pick up a few more in different colors.

this is my second winter using this hat. at least this year i'm not working on a parking lot for a huge store chain.this hat was so freakin warm it's amazing. i was out in the weather for 8 hours a day last year and this hat kept my face and head warm all day without being so bulky that i couldn't hear the cars around me. 2 of the guys i work with liked mine so much they bought themselves one each.

This hat is amazing. I bought it over a year ago and have used it twice in the arctic circle. It’s a hat, ear muffs, and face wind shield all in one (well, two- the face mask is detachable). I’m not saying you’re going to head to Antarctica necessarily, but for very cold weather this hat is all I needed. The mask is essential for cold weather fjord cruises. Whether you latch the ear pieces together or not depends on how cold it is. So I would say this is very modular. Mask on or off, ear pieces connected or not, etc. That covers a range of temps. During the coldest of breezes my only issue hasn’t been warmth, but rather snow blowing into my eyeballs, but only eye protection can solve that.

This hat fits my head which is about medium size and is super warm and very easy to take on and off. Most of the time I don't even do the strap because it's warm with just the flaps hanging down. In recent subfreezing weather it kept my head very warm and I also kind of like the styling. The face mask isn't the best but it does the job.
