This is a must-have tool for safely lifting mid to large size Mercury and Mariner outboards. Don't risk thousands of dollars worth of motor and personal injury with some ill-conceived kludge involving ratchet straps or lifting by points on the motor not rated for loads. Doing so is just stupid when this tool is available for such a reasonable price.

Good value, quick delivery. I used it to hang my Mercury optimax 115 HP outboard motor. It also worked to un-mount my 1978 mariner 115 HP.

As advertised. Spot on. Using this lift ring, I was able to easily move a heavy Mercury outboard from a wooden skid to my rolling outboard motor stand with no problem using a simple block and tackle connection overhead.

It was very simple and safe to use,the threads didn't have any burs or dents making it difficult to screw in.The eye was large enough to either use your hoist hook or chain.To me, I felt real confident in changing out an $18,000.00 dollar motor on my boat.And not taking chance on it droping to the floor because of something I tried to rig up to do the job! It was well worth the money! Thank you Amazon!!!
