Nice unit and heats up quickly
Received the unit today, and put it to work right away. The 15 second heat up time worked - I could feel the heat from the tip quickly. The unit is a light blue and blue mix, which is different from other orange, red, or black units I have used before. My favorite part is that the unit and holder are separate and do not take too much desk space.Screen is very visible and easy to read. The settings are understandable, you just look for the icon that is highlight at that time, or figure out what 0, 1, 2, 3 modes are. Comes with extra tips and sizes to use as well. Very easily to use, and was packaged well.I would recommend to any hobby person needing to solder parts, wire connectors, etc... I use it for my microcontroller boards. Just finished making my own garage door sensor and opener with relays, reed sensors, etc.

Wow! Truly great find!
Fantastic little iron especially for the money. Heats up quickly, temperatures are accurate, machine is extremely easy to use. Nice assortment of included tips. After yet another issue with my Weller, I bought this just to get me through a week of easy projects. I honestly didn't expect it to work so well. Ran it for 4 hours right after I got it and it performed flawlessly. Time will tell regarding how it holds up but so far I'm impressed. Ergonomics of the iron are good, but it's definitely a higher grip than I'm used to (I'd like to be a little closer to the tip). Still very easy to control. It's a keeper!

Heats up fast, melts solder
It heats up really fast and melts solder.I ordered one of these units and it was DOA, got it returned and the replacement has paid for itself several times over with repairs around the house. Feels like a quality setup. Not sure what was wrong with the first one.

Great soldering station for the price.
I decided to try this station out because I needed more temperature control then my old Radioshack 60W iron could provide with more delicate components. Right out of the box it worked great, heats up very fast and maintains its temperature. Its a very nice Soldering Station for the price compared to the other brands on the market, I'd recommend it.

This is a great soldering station
I bought this as a backup for what I thought was my main soldering station which is an extronic 4000 series that I've had for a few years. But it like to burn up the irons. So I bought this station until new cables came in. In the meantime, I started working on a radio and this is a great little station. Even set at a lower temperature. It's on and off what your soldering a lot quicker. That means less stress on the parts that you're soldering. I don't see me going back to what was my main one which will now be my backup

Bought it based on the other reviews, was not disappointed
My old weller solder station failed for the last time a few weeks ago and I decided to bite the bullet and get a new non-weller one.I was fully prepared to drop a couple of hundred dollars on something that would last. Then I found this one and saw the abundance of highly rated and figured I’d take the risk considering how cheap this thing is…Well I can say I was not disappointed with this little work horse. I use it almost daily and it has been consistently amazing. I’m filled with joy every time I power it on and watch it heat to 400C in secondsThe only disappointment, if you can call it that is the tips discolored very quickly however, I bought an additional pack of tips very easy to get and they’ve been amazing
