This switch replaced 8-port gigabit switch I had. I've chosen TP-Link TL-SG108S-M2 for LED indicators that will show speed of wired connection, and also for brand.My ISP started to offer faster than gigabit Internet link, another reason for upgrade.I am not disappointed. This switch runs cold under regular load. It is fanless and quiet. LED lights do show link speed: 2.5Gbps/1Gbps/100Mbps - as advertised. For my house with tons of old ethernet cables behind the walls I now have confidence they run at expected speeds.This switch has Ethernet ports in front and power cable at the back of the switch. That layout makes it easier to unplug and plug Ethernet cables when needed.
