Old El Paso Traditional Canned Refried Beans, 1 Can, 16 oz

Great flavor!

Always good with some sour cream or salsa!

I love these refried beans, I've lived in both Texas and Southern California, I grew up eating both Mexican food and Tex Mex food. If I don't have time to fix my own awesome refried beans these are my go to. It's great that I can now order them online and add them to my pantry box! I wish I loved the lower fat options but I just don't. The ability to enjoy traditional texture and flavor make it worth me cutting some fat from another area of my diet in order to have these. Try them, they're great!

We bought these refried beans via Prime Pantry. We don't buy refried beans often so I picked up this version and the vegetarian one to see what we prefer... I didn't pay too much attention to the ingredients but these are cooked in lard. They are tasty, very creamy, and flavorful but we'll likely buy the vegetarian version for future, Old El Paso Refried Beans, Vegetarian, 16 Ounce We didn't think the vegetarian version tasted all that different but we also tried them on different nights. The regular version is definitely creamier. The other is seasoned better but if you layer these with rice or use it as dip, it's not noticeably different (in our opinions). Nutrition facts are pretty close but just to note, the total number of servings per can is different by a half cup (both 1 lb cans but you get a half cup more in the vegetarian version). Refried beans is what I order. They are fine.

Very good. Best I have found in the can. I spice up a bit & use in soft tortillas or as a side dish or with Taco chips, salsa, cheese, guac etc. Taste great warmed with sour cream or plain real Greek Yogurt and Mexican melted cheese. I prefer the Greek yogurt. Not as fattening & better for you. Stronger Sour taste the Greek yogurt compliments the bean flavor better.Try it! I don’t use sour cream any more.

Not sure if it's just the one can I received or if it's the change they made to their recipe, but it did not taste like the refried beans I was expecting. It tasted more like plain beans. Definitely less flavor. I guess you could add your own flavor to spruce it up, but I didn't do that. I really didn't like the new flavor. I purchase two cans, if the second one is better I'll update my review.

I pour the fluid off of a can, and add shredded cheddar cheese. I heat it in the microwave, add my favorite salsa, diced raw, sweet, onion and maybe a few sliced cherry tomatoes. Bring out the tortilla chips...and, voila, you have a balanced meal!! Cans of these from Amazon saved me this winter during the Coronavirus when I could not go to the grocery store!

Products from this brand has the most authentic Mexican Flavors. This is one of my favorite products to use when I have to make Mexican Food.

These are decent refried beans and very easy to stir up and add on nachos. The taste is decent too. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because you almost can't see any separate beans. It's all a pulp. I like my beans to have individual beans.
