Got a big speed boost when switching from my old router wifi. Have noticed that I have a stronger signal in parts of the house I did not before. The setup was easy and the UI looks great. The only thing I have noticed that I don't like is that the power cable has a poor connection to the unit and can be wiggled out easily. A slight concern I have is that the cat may pull it free if she were to get caught on it. The unit works great though and I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their router. The unit is large and takes up some space but that is to be expected with a more premium router such as this. Side notes - This unit does have a metal backplate to ground ethernet ports. It comes with antivirus protection and VPN but they will slow down your connection and cause lag. The website blocker also blocked the in game store and newswire for some of my game apps. Best to keep them disabled for gaming. Could have great utility for parents.

I bought this router for WIFI coverage, it is not disappointing. Considering 5,000+ sq feet to cover, I was hesitated between mesh router and wifi6 router like this one and happy I made decision to give TP-Link AX11000 a try. The signal is great in all areas of my property, even in the far corner of my basement still showing full bar. The device is smart enough to switch between 2.4G and 5G to maintain the best connection. The setup is supper easy too, at least easier than I expected. Just by following the simple instruction comes with the product and the setup wizards, It even created guest WIFI in a few steps. The only thing caught me is the build in virtual patching/intrusion prevention feature. Some of your web application might not work, in my situation is one of my smart TV stopped loading its landing page. I have to disable the cloud security feature to make the TV works again, but your situation might be different. I love the router's interface, You can find traffic reports to show which device is using how much bandwidth in real time. In QOS section, you can even prioritize the traffic. I do not know if I would ever need the QOS function as gaming is not my thing, at least it is there. Another useful feature is auto/scheduled firmware update, it keeps the router always up to date according to the schedule you select. Regarding stability, I do notice occasionally connection might drop and reestablish but I am not sure if it is due to ISP or wifi issue, at least I do not have to reboot it for past several weeks. All in all, I feel TP-Link AX11000 is a powerful, practical and reliable device suitable for large home with many wifi devices. It is worth the money especially when bought for discount in my case.

Had this router for a few years. We used to have multiple google routers to cover the entire house, but this thing pretty much covers everything, so we got rid of the other routers. Pros: -Very fast. The 5GHz networks are great for gaming. -Long range. This router uses a technology called beam forming, which extends the range by listening for signals in a particular direction using its multiple antennas. It covers almost my entire house, which used to require 2 or 3 routers in a mesh network. -Multiple bands. It has two 5Ghz bands and one 2.4Ghz band. Choose 2.4Ghz band for longer range, or 5Ghz band for higher speed. -Very reliable. I've used this for 5+ years and had very few issues with it. I think I've had to restart it two or three times maybe over the years. -It has an easy-to-use mobile app that gives you detailed info about the devices on your network and the wifi connection performance of each device. If you have an active internet connection, you can also control your router remotely and run an internet connection test. -It detects and blocks malicious activity on the network. If a device on your network is infected with a virus, the router will prevent it from infecting other devices. You also get a notification in the mobile app when this happens, so you can remove or clean the infected device. The antivirus service on the router gets free periodic updates. Cons: -The 2.4Ghz band can be disrupted by other appliances in your house, like microwaves and cordless phones. This is true of all routers that have a 2.4Ghz band. You can avoid this by using the 5Ghz bands. -It doesn't have a lot of slots for wired ethernet connections. If that's something you need, this might not be a good pick for your setup.
