THANK GOD this product exists!! I bought a second-hand one at Kal's Kwik-n-Krappy Klutter Korner, still in its original packaging for some reason, and can tell you that it is the greatest thing since the polio vaccine. No longer will I have to engage in the dull, tedious, difficult, and often dangerous process of slicing hot dogs with a knife, the way my mother and grandmother had to. This is the 21st Century, so it's about time technology caught up to the needs of the average hot dog aficionado. AND it has a nifty bonus feature: a convenient little cup, attached right to the device, to hold ketchup for dipping! It is like a microwave oven or a Salad Shooter-- you think you have no use for one, but then when you get one, you will wonder how you managed to survive your entire life without it!

very hard to clean.

I bought 3 of these at the dollar store (for 1.00 each) and gave them to my daughter and 2 daughter in laws. They have RAVED about this item and asked me where to buy them because all of their friends want one. Glad I found them..sorry they are 5 times the price of the first ones I bought. I am buying several more here because the dollar store no longer has them :-(

I bought this to make it easier to cut up a hot dog and it's actually easier to just use a knife and cut it

Cheap Plastic that doesn't cut the hot dog.

It crushes rather then cut.
