I was skeptical of this, because it says it’ll last for five seconds, which doesn’t seem like enough time to get anything done. But I was wrong! Pitbull attacked my little dachshund today while we were out walking. I’ve often wondered what I would do during such a situation. I had gone over this scenario in my mind many times as I walk a lot with my little dog. Today a pitbull came after us and I grab my dog and picked him up and reached for my spray. I had my spray in a different holster, and it was not readily available to me the way I needed to be holding it. So I had to turn three times as a dog was jumping for my dog, but then I rolled around, had the pepper spray in hand, and got that dog right on his face and shoulder about 2 feet from me. he yelped, his tail between his legs and headed for home. I had had a similar experience with pepper spray, and that was not very successful so I would say if you’re wanting to use this to keep dogs from attacking you definitely use the bear spray and yes, I had enough to plaster him. Moving forward September 12, 2023, I was walking my little 8 pound, miniature, doxie, when a car going by with a window only roll down 3/8 of the way, squeezed its way out of the window, fell on the concrete as the car was still moving, which gave me time to pick up my little dog and grab my bear spray. I was able to spray the dog as it was coming at me, allowing the confrontation to end right then and there. I will never walk anywhere in this town that I live in without my bear spray!

As I was saying this is it, this stuff right here can turn a nightmare into not getting eaten or mauled. Also not supposed to be used against a human attacker but if it were to happen say someone runs up on your and it's all you have to defend yourself I can tell you it changes people's minds asap no matter how bad a$$ they were at the starting as soon as this is deployed instantly I mean not now but right now they are no longer interested in attacking you. . . I mean I know a guy that told me that it would stop an assailant. I've done my homework on this brand compared to the others I found in the markets and online they go to explaine that there is no entity no company that regulates the actual strength of these products so being unregulated some brands will advertise being the strongest or most effective when actually they are not they have no actual documented scientific proof but the people who make this product made it for themselves first and they did the rigorous testing and cross testing etc etc to make sure the product that they were making works. If you don't believe me buy this one and another of any other brands go do some tests of both on yourself after that I feel you will be satisfied with my review having a new wealth in knowledge you will know where to put your safety. I didn't need to use it, but having it was a comfort.

I hope I never have to use this, but I feel at ease having this on me especially while camping. There’s a loop in the case to where you can put it on your belt which makes it convenient if you need it right away. I only gave it a four star because I did not use it and I’m not going to go find a bear to find out if it works or not. Other than that, the quality of it is worth it, the appearance as well and easy to travel with.

I buy 1 every year or so , haven't had to use one on any tail walks, had to get rid of an old one ,well there was no wind out in the Netherlands, tested it out, waited for it to dissipate, and walked back, don't do that

We were packing up our vehicles after a Christmas celebration in the Smoky Mountains. We wanted to leave early in the morning. My son’s wife had packed some candy away in a box and put it in the back of their truck. It had a roll out tarp to keep items dry. I was loading my vehicle about 15 feet away and heard a loud commotion and rocking noise from the truck. The bear was tearing up the tarp to get to the candy. I couldn’t see anything because it was dark. I dropped everything and ran inside. My husband grabbed the air horn, but that didn’t work. I was able to snap this picture at that time. He saw us and kept eating. My son had grabbed the spray I had brought and gave the bear a blast. He jumped out and ran away. It turns out that there was two of them. Apparently the bigger one was watching out for the little one in the truck! 😵. I was very grateful that they were more interested in the candy than they were in me. The spray worked great.

Bought as a gift for my sister for her birthday. We trout fish & I wouldn't be without it. Very fast shipping too. Some of their bear spray are cheaper on here than going to a store that sells it. Happy with my purchase & so is my sister.
