Great customer service
When the product stopped cutting after only a few days, customer service responded quickly and replaced the product for me. It shipped quickly too.I just don't think it will cut the faux floral stems that I need it to.

Capable wire cutter.
Well made tool. Comfortable to use, very sharp. Came as part of 2 tool package with some specialty crimpers. Looks well made, time will tell but I'm optimistic. Recommended.

Easy to use, I like these a lot for cutting wires, not for stripping them though.

It does not work
It did not even cut one wire in my gear cable. This is garbage. I returned it.

Very serviceable, great price
A bypass cutter like this is much more effective for cutting cable than a diagonal cutters. This model is very serviceable and at $10 (today's price) it's a great deal. The construction is stamped stainless with a riveted pivot using a belleville washer for consistent pivot pressure while eliminating play. It's really a well executed low-cost design. The handles are comfortable and the locking mechanism is very effective. The cutting edges had a pretty good burr as delivered, that's part of the economical manufacturing I suppose. I don't suppose that will matter much to most folks but I'm picky about my edge tools so I took off the burr with a fine India slipstone that also polished up the edge a bit. It cuts really well and seems to hold up fine on copper cables.Overall, a solid tool at an affordable price.

Good, compact wire cutter
Summary: When it comes to cutting cable, especially thick copper cables (e.g. battery cables), having the right tool will make the job go faster. While building out my Solar/PV system, I have needed to cut large (up to 0 AWG) cable, and having a shear cutter is priceless.Observations: iWiss makes a good line of tools, I have previously bought their MC-4 Solar Connector Kit.Recommendations: Make sure you only use these on Copper and Aluminum wire; steel will nick the blade.Pros: Good fit & finish; locking (for storage) mechanism.Cons: None. Conclusion: At $10, rating this 5-stars.

For the price, these are pretty nice!
Not a ton to say about these cutters. The quality to price ratio is pretty high so I give them 5-stars. Had they been twice as expensive, I would have expected better quality. So far they are sharp and do what they are supposed to do. Grips are comfortable and the locking mech does its job. I'll be sure to report back if anything changes with a lot of use but so far, so good.
