Worked perfect on our Bradford-White hot water heater. Took my husband about 30min to replace and he’s lost the full function of his right hand because of a stroke. Just take a couple of photos of the old one with your phone still hooked up and makes it a lot easier to reconnect the wires properly. “Be Sure ALL Power is off before touching anything”. He even took a multimeter with my help to make double sure all power was disconnected !!

This was an exact replacement for my 18 year old water heater. Power surge or what have you fried the original upper t-stat. Short of replacing the entire water heater I opted to give DIY replacements a chance. Going very slow/methodically it took me less than 30 minutes to replace the upper and lower thermostats and that's with cutting/stripping 3 of the upper 14awg wires (red, blue, black ones). Flipped breakers back on and no sparks! or concerns noted. Within a few hours, hot water for dishes. Before bed rechecked and wiring was a normal warm to (a careful) touch but nowhere near alarmingly hot. Overall this was quite a cost effective DIY repair and would do again as necessary!
