Way too big to look to the gym
It was a nice bottle but super heavy and large too big to lug anywhere

Cold water
I take big red everywhere. He keeps my water nice and cold. Plus if I ever need to defend myself he could do a good bit of damage since he is so heavy. He does not fit in my car cup holder so sometimes he rides in the passenger seat, and I put my hand in front of him like I am protecting a child. Haha

in use for over a month, here's what I think
This bottle is awesome! We live in a hot desert area and I never realized how much I needed a bottle like this until I got one. I can literally leave this in my truck in the midday summer sun for hours and when I get back in the bottle is hot to the touch for sure but the water inside is still very cold! I had gotten used to having to take bottles with me or just deal with the hot water... not anymore! I don't really like the push thermos style cap I just use the other screw on cap, I like that one because it seems easier to get water out of and I like being able to slip my finger through the loop to carry it. The upper cap to drink out of screws off easily and there is a detent thing built into the plastic loop that will retain the cap out of the way while you take a drink so you don't have it come flopping back at your face. When I'm done taking a drink I use my finger to push up on the cap and when it pops out of the detent it flips all the way back up to where it screws on making it kinda fun to close up. I haven't had any leaks with it although I do try to keep it upright when possible just to be safe. One other thing I have noticed that is kinda fun is that this thing is like a bell/ gong. When I walk with this I usually have my finger through the loop and gripping the upper part of the bottle, if I want I can kinda bang it against my knee and get a cool low pitched gong sound out of it. I have had this about a month and have used it daily, we even went on a vacation to Germany for 11 days and it was great. I have not experienced any rust, bad taste, or anything like that mentioned by other critical reviewers. If I do I will update this review. My one and only qualm about this bottle is the size, my truck has an oversized cup holder in it and it holds a 32 oz camelback about perfectly but this bottle goes in about half an inch or so and wedges itself in because it's too big. I don't mind so much because it still holds it fine but just know it is pretty decent sized. If you have small hands you would probably have to use two hands to grip this thing around the main girth of the bottle. Long term portability can kinda suck too, on vacation I quickly found myself tiring of using my finger through the loop to carry it, I would switch to holding it in my arms like a baby or putting it in my backpack. But to me these things just comes with the capacity of the bottle and are a small tradeoff for all I love about this bottle (ice cold water ALL the time, not having to fill up constantly, looks good, and making people ask: "what's that noise... is there a bell tower somewhere?")

This is like a carry-all Water Reservoir! Yeaah, baby!
The new Swig Savvy (to me anyway) 40 OZ Sports Tank is not for the lightweight work out person. Whether you hit the track or running machine, rev up the REPS/HEART RPMS, on weight machines or free weights etc. and need serious H2O support the only better solution is stepping up to Swig Savvy 64 OZ TANKs. I am a classic featherweight. I can crank the mileage and pump my share of iron, but I draw the line at schlupping around an 8lb. water supply. The 40 OZ is fine (but recommend getting Aupet, Nouvou or Buffalo carry sleeve w/strap) Swig Savvy does not have one at this time for the 40OZ. But that aside, the vacuum on this cannister is "over the TOP" it keeps the water cool & refreshing. Fill the tank 15% to 20% ice, if you run out of water after several hours and refill with the ICE still in there, it will still cool down what you add and still have ice when you get home (Give or take). I have a 26 OZ that I also take with at times refill off my 40OZ. carrying the 2 over shoulder straps doesn't bother me as much as the thought of the straight up 64OZ - even though it is the same amount of water. To each their own. hope this Helps. 02birdog.

So far...so COLD, but $10 CHEAPER @ WAL-MART!!!
I've been looking for a "40 oz" water bottle for quite some time because they normally come in 32 oz. I've gone through quite a few and my drinks never stayed cold for longer than a few hours. I came across this one and I was skeptical at first but ordered it anyway. First out the box I was impressed on how sturdy this bottle was. The mouth is wide so you can easily put food in it as well to keep it warm. Before I left at 0800, I added 10 ice cubes and filled with water. I intentionally left this bottle in my hot car yesterday until 2:30pm. (It got up to 90!). When I got home most of the ice was melted but the water still ice cold. 12hrs later, water was still cold. Before I went to bed at 11pm I still had ice cold water. Now did it hit the 24 hour mark at 0800 the next morning? No, but for a good 15-20 hrs, I had ice cold water. I was happy that this bottle didn't "sweat" like most but condensation did build up on the plastic drinking part. No big deal, the important thing is I can grab it w/out it slipping thru my hands due to moisture seeping out of it like many I've owned. ***Note ice will melt unless you fill this bottle half way but still keep your drinks cold.**May 9, 2017Had to drop it a star because although it works well, it won't keep ice for long periods. Also, you can get this same bottle in assorted colors at Wal-Mart much cheaper. Now I wish I would have waited and saved $10. No one, not even Amazon can seem to beat Wal-Mart's prices.

Keeps ice all day...
This thermos is perfect for keeping my electrolyte beverage ice cold in the hot sun. I work outside all day and need an electrolyte blend to remain cold so it doesn't taste nasty. These water vessels are perfect and a great price. Ozark Trail now has some in 32oz that are a little more durable... But you miss out on the sippable lid.Reason for one star deduction. I did drop one that was full of beverage and it broke its vacuum seal. That one no longer keeps ice all day. That was my fault, but too bad it wasn't more durable. I've dropped the Ozark Trail 1 gallon jug and did not lose a vacuum seal. That is a lot more weight and it maintained itself. So they could be more durable. But I'll keep buying them for the lid. If Ozark Trail ever switches over to a sippable lid then I'm gone!

Huge! Definitely worth the money!
Absolutely huge! I left 6 ice cubes in the bottle over night in water. By the morning the ice cubes had melted, but the water was still bitterly cold. Brilliant flask! Also, itโs not ugly like those typical flasks in shops. Iโve seen other insulated bottles at rocket prices, this price is very very good for the size of the bottle itself in comparison to its competitors

Excellent product - worth every penny!
Beautiful product. The product has excellent insulation properties. This means that hot liquids stay hot and cold stay cold. I have had one filled with iced squash for over 24 hours and still had ice inside at the end of the period. Worth every penny spent.

Great value for money and good size for a day out!
So after giving two as gifts (which they loved)...I bought one for myself. Swig Savvyโs work well and are a good value.I bought this one to use with my Wild Wolf Outfitters bottle holder and it fit great. Use it all over as we walk the dog or spend the day out meandering around National Trusts. I love that it carries 5 cups of water, keeping it cool through the day...and I can avoid plastic bottles.
