Learning Resources Smart Snacks Count 'em Up Popcorn, Counting Game, Math Games, Set of 15, Ages 2+

I really like these and so do my kids. I use them with my 3-year-old for counting and number recognition. My one-year-old twins love just putting them into the tubs one by one, dumping them out, and then filling them again. I actually leave one tub and a few popcorn pieces in my son's crib so he has something to play with when he first wakes up. It buys me a little more time in the morning before he starts yelling and waking up his twin sister! It keeps him occupied (in a positive way) and I don't have to worry about supervising him with them as they are not small enough to be a choking hazard. Apart from the learning value for my 3-yr-old the helping my 1-yr-old twins polish their fine motor skills, they are a fun "play" food. They are great replicas of real popcorn! My only complaint is that the set doesn't come with anything to store all the pieces in. Once you open the manufacturer's box, you have lots of pieces just floating around. For now, I have mine stored in a plastic wipes tub. I have the five numbered tubs nested inside each other and the popcorn thrown on top. Works okay for now...

Love this product. Great learning tool to help with giving the numbers value. My son learned how to count and now he is learning the value of each number. Great to have a concrete object that captures their attention. Especially when its well designed and looks just like popcorn 🍿

Got this for a Christmas gift. I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old - both boys. They absolutely LOVE this toy. Pretending to pop corn in their pretend kitchen (with a microwave) is the cutest thing ever. Plus, counting is really fun with the little buckets. The popcorn pieces are larger than a normal piece of popcorn, but small enough - GREAT for little grasping fingers. I even love to play with this. So cute, so fun! HIGH quality!!!

First of all, this LOOKS really awesome. The popcorn is huge, but very lifelike with a neat, smooth texture. However, I am already annoyed with this toy. Maybe it's his age (3), but my kid refuses to play the counting game with this toy (which is the whole point of it). He will count other things, but not this. This he wants to serve me in one of his imaginative games where I am the patron of his movie theater or something. And there are so many pieces (all the popcorn, all the cups), but there is no one cup that holds all of them, so I am constantly annoyed with finding individual kernels of giant popcorn and/or red striped cups lying around my house. I guess I need to go buy a big reusable popcorn tub and let him just use this toy how he wants to, and ditch the 5 little counting cups! Just one person's experience. It really is a high quality product, though.

These are amazing and so so darling! They are a teachable “play food” which has been a staple of Learning Resources. We love them! My girls play “movie theater” with them as well as stack the little popcorns. Many math lessons as well as numbers/fractions can be learned from this set as children grow. They are the same rubbery solid material as other LR play foods, which is a mark of quality. These will be hung onto and passed down with their wooden play kitchen!

This is a great counting set! I already had one set in my preschool classroom and wanted another for small group and play times! Learning Resources is great- I would definitely recommend this set!

I have purchased multiple learning resources little sprouts sets with no regrets! The quality if the materials is top notch. My son tries to squeeze the foods and they do not crease or fold. They are a soft plastic but very sturdy. I especially love the realistic appearance. He enjoys playing with the set and also putting a bowl in his toy microwave to make popcorn. A great way and perfect size to teach counting. This set includes: 5 bowls, 15 popcorns.

these are great for teaching number concept to toddlers. there are not a lot of toys that teach this way and are also durable and not a choking hazard...being able to count as they place the popcorn into the tubs is much better than pointing at pictures and counting.
