Used for motorcycle riding - not bad but LONG charging time!
The only reasons I dropped a star off the rating is (a) they take a VERY long time to charge fully (longer than anything else I own...which is saying something). and (b) because I can't imagine bothering with anything less than full power on them - which makes the heat adjustable thing a bit redundant.EDIT - UPDATE: I have just started using these again. I think it's worth reiterating the charging time. I put them on charge after riding for several hours this morning (I'm guessing they stopped working after about 5 hours on full heat). I plugged them in SIX hours ago and they still aren't charged. Worth knowing if you're going to use them daily, plug them in asap when you get home and expect to leave them overnight. That said - i've been out in temperatures of around 3c on a bike (which means with wind chill, my feet were in sub zero temperatures) wearing these and they definitely make a difference. I have several pairs of so-called thermal socks and my feet still get numb after an hour or so in this kind of cold. These stop that. I wouldn't say my feet were really toasty; but I can feel my toes after several hours riding and that's a huge change! Battery life is also pretty good to be fair; I had them on today and forgot to switch them off when I got home - so they were on for about 5 hours+ and still going strong on full power. I definitely noticed the difference when I switched them off as well. I haven't tried the other two heat settings because full power was fine (definitely not too hot for me). But that's a very subjective thing obviously. If you ride in winter - these are worth buying for sure. I wear them with both calf length and just over ankle length bike boots and they're fine. They're slightly longer than my longest boots but even if they weren't the batteries aren't uncomfortable at all. Easily one of the better riding gear investments i've made.

These are already making a difference
The clocks have gone back and it's getting colder, wetter and darker. I spend most of my weekends at football games, and have two problems - cold and wet. I bought a (brilliant) heated jacket and I'm using it all the time. However, I still had the problem of cold / wet feet as I usually run the line. I looked for a sock equivalent of my heated jacket and these looked the part - and they are! These are comfortable to wear and I was up and running in seconds - just pressed the button on each battery and put them back in their pockets on the side of the socks. They give you a warm glow on the top of your feet and I have put them to good use over the last couple of weeks at games with grim weather. They're not the cheapest, admittedly, but they are already making my life better

Great for skiing and warming the feet
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these socks. They are nice and thick. They have 3 heat settings, of which the highest is rather pleasant. I suffer from quite poor circulation in my toes so these are very welcomed on cold days. I bought them for my upcoming skiing trip.Regarding improvements, the product itself is great but the packaging makes the socks look of a poorer quality, so I’d recommend the seller upgrading the packing. This is however a small thing and does not impact on the quality of the product. I would recommend these socks.
