This marketplace stand is a great pretend play toy, one of my all time favorite purchases. A comfortable height for my tall 4yr without requiring her to kneel down or bend over while also being a comfortable height for my petite 2yr. It's plain enough to be whatever the kids want. Most of the time we use it as a grocery store but yesterday it became a puppet stage and today its a train store. For a hot second it was a bakery and a flower shop is coming soon. It's light enough to be picked up and moved, small enough to fit into tight spaces (we have a small house) and strong enough to stand up to playtime. My only complaint, which is admittedly very minor, is that the awning fabric isn't taut. To fix that, I'm considering dragging out the sewing machine to make several in different prints. The awning attaches with Kam snaps so swapping them in and out would be easy peasy. I lied, I do have a second complaint. The cash register that came with it is terrible. It's sturdy MDF same as the stand but the way the buttons are designed is horrible. They sink down as you press them but it feels incredibly flimsy and like they'll break. I would have preferred painted on buttons to whatever these are. We use a different electronic cash register and this one is our backup. And a huge shout out to the warehouse staff. I saved a few bucks by buying it from the warehouse. The description saying the box was damaged was spot on. That box was beat the hell up. I thought for sure there was no way it was intact but it was perfect. One tiny scratch on the underside of the counter but other than that no damage what whatsoever.

This was fairly easy to put together, all the pieces were there both packaged and labeled well. Once put together the little grocery store is very sturdy and VERY cute. They do state that there is one credit card included, but show two in the picture. It would have been nicer to have two. There isn’t any play fruit or vegetables which are included, so you will need to purchase some if you don’t have any - that’s kind of important for a grocery store! A little shopping basket or shopping cart would be nice to purchase as well. Overall this is a great addition to the playroom and the children love it!

This is a great piece! It was easy to put together, and it is beautiful! It fits in with adult rooms but our daughter loves it. The bins and shelves are great ad they offer lots of space to play. The canopy has held up wonderfully, and the chalkboard areas are a creative way to insert labels. The cash register is not overly interactive, so we use a different one. Great value for a 'farmers market / grocery store'.

I bought this toy for my kids' in-home daycare. After reading the reviews I was a little concerned about how hard it would be to put together, and nearly bought a different one for that reason. So glad I decided to give the KidKraft Grocery Marketplace a try! It is a high quality product that will surely last for years even in a daycare setting. It has a very contemporary look, which would go well with the popular Ikea play kitchen. I like that the wood is very light in color, and does not have an orange or yellow tone to it like other wood toys. The register has buttons that push down, a drawer for play money and comes with a wooden credit card. And luckily it was very easy to put together. Instructions are very well designed, parts (including screws) are well labeled and all holes were pre-drilled correctly. I put it together in less than an hour, and would have been even quicker with a drill. And I am not even handy. If you have ever assembled any Ikea furniture this product will be a piece of cake. Here are a couple assembly tips: a) The shelves are labeled with an "up" sticker, though a "front" sticker would have been useful too. I thought the holes were not pre-drilled correctly until I turned the shelf front to back - and voila the chalkboard piece fit. b) It helps to place the stand in front of you exactly as pictured for each step. It means that you will need to turn it around a couple times during the assembly process. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because though the product was well packaged overall, there was no protective layer between the colorful register and the white counter shelf, which unfortunately resulted in a tiny hole on the counter and some paint stains. I was able to rub the orange stains off with a baby wipe and my finger nails, but not the green stains. It's not too visible though and okay for a daycare setting, but I might have requested a replacement if I would have kept it for my home. But overall a great buy. Highly recommend.

Great toy for toddlers, but overpriced in my opinion for quality of toy. It took forever to put together as well. Overall a good toy, but don’t expect it to last long.

This is amazing!! We bought this for our daughter because she loves her play food and makes us ice cream cones all day long. It was pretty simple to put together with the instructions but one of the pieces were not lining up and we had to drill another holes to make it fit. The awning is not as pictured, it is not scalloped but a straight edge. Other than that, it looks amazing with great quality. We would buy another toy like this.

This product came with incorrect parts (they gave me qty 2of the part# 14 instead of qty 1 #13 and qty 1 #14. This made it difficult to put the top board on. The cash register was also broken when I received it. I had to glue it back together. I also though the product was supposed to contain the little chalkboard sign that you could set out separately but mine did not come with this. It was a little confusing to put together because the boards are not labeled inside and outside. So I had to take a few pieces apart and turn them around. It took longer that I had hoped for. It seems sturdy for my two boys....we shall see how long it holds up!

Enfin une vraie marchande tout en bois avec de jolies couleurs! Facile à monter, elle est très stable et permet de ranger plusieurs cagettes de fruits et légumes. La caisse enregistreuse tout en bois me paraissait un peu trop simple mais ma fille de 2 ans l'adore bien qu'elle ne clignote pas ni ne fasse du bruit... comme quoi!

Echt gute Qualität. Aus Holz, Stoffmarkise, Kunststoffkisten und Metallschrauben. Wie echt auf dem Markt, nur einfach in der Grösse für Kinder. Meine Empfehlung: Vor dem Schenken zusammenbauen, nur noch hinstellen und gleich mit dem Spiel beginnen. Verschwindet auch später nicht in einer Ecke oder sonstwo, weil universell zu verwenden und passend für enge Verhältnisse in der Wohnung. Auch für die Schweiz.

Easy to put together! Seems sturdy so far. The kids love it! Also a good height that they don’t have to bend down to see through to the other side! This was hard to find when I was looking for play markets!

Absolutely brilliant, well worth every penny. Put together on my own in an hour, insructions were clear and the pieces perfectly aligned, you'd never guess it was a kitset it's so robust. So glad we chose this one. And the kids LOVE IT!
