A great addition for my garage door opener. Now I have the satisfaction of knowing if I closed the door "after" I've driven away from the house. The application quickly lets me know the status of it being closed or open and I now have the luxury of opening it while away, if the need arises.

Sure easy set up and the only device that was compatible with my Martin garage motor. Has been working great so far and the app is very easy to use! I didn't have an option with other manufacturers for my motor but I have no regrets and this has been working so well

This iSmartGate Mini is a replacement for a GogoGate2 (legacy iSmartGate) Wifi garage door opener. The original GogoGate2 sensor had fallen off the door one too many times and stopped working and because I wasn't able to replace just the sesor, I ended up replacing the opener with the newer iSmartGate Mini.Replacement and set-up were relatively straight forward. The Mini supports a single door, so there was only a single 2 ended wire that needed to connected to the Genie opener. Set up in the iSmartGate app was similar to other devices; a bit cludgy, but it worked.I like that the new sensor has slotted tabs that allow it to be screwed to the garage door, so it should ever fall off.I also like that it works with Google Home/Google Assistant (and few others like Alex).I don't like that the new sensor uses 2 Type-N 1.5V batteries opposed to the more common AAA batteries. This was the reason for the 4 stars, not 5.

It worked great for about 3 months and now stopped working what is the warranty on this product ?It looks like the door sensor failed

Setup my ismartgate Mini Smart Garage Door Opener few months back and it works like a charm.I have a Marantec garage opener and it seems iSmartGate smart opener is the only 'affordable' one to making the existing garage opens smart and available over the air. Few other app were pretty high priced.The iPhone app is awesome , very basic and functional as I got the Mini version.Integration with Alexa is a little pain, the setup with Alexa has ghosted me more than few times.Had the re-integrate again. I prefer using the iSmartGate dedicated app.Overall a good purchase given Marantec support is very limited in some of the other cheaper automated smart garage openers.

The unit itself, along with the corresponding app seem to work fine once you get it to pair with the device and installation of the remote unit to the opener is actually really simple. That's the only thing good about it. The setup fought me all the way for seemingly no reason. It gave me multiple failed pairing attempts before it finally connected without me changing a single setting. I'm no luddite either, it simply just didn't want to pair. The biggest issue I have with it is that Ghost Controls says that this is compatible with all gates, IT IS NOT! There are two different sensors in use for these openers; One is basically a level switch that reads opening by being out of plumb to its orientation, and it's used for garage doors. The other is a two piece magnetic break sensor similar to what is used on windows for home security, and it's used for gates. While none of these listings specify well which sensor is which, I can assure you that THIS LISTING DOES NOT CONTAIN THE SENSOR YOU NEED FOR A GATE.

Make sure you take time to read each model so you know which features you want. This controls my gate well. Super easy to set up and integrate into Alexa and IFTTT. I notice a lot of negative reviews are for people not reading correctly. This is such a low price option compared to others out there. I recommend you buy it.

Works perfect on an old garage door that we have had troubles using older garage door openers. Much easier to use the app through our phone.

Whilst the unit works great, the key feature I wanted to use on this tool was for it communicate through Alexa. In Canada this is not possible from everything I've since read after installing it. Need to update product description or service.

The ismartgate Mini with wireless sensor has converted my old dipswitch type Garage door opener into a SMART Garage Door opener! My ½ HP Craftsman garage door opener is over 23 years old and still going strong. I didn’t want to replace it just to get a smart garage opener, so the ismartgate Mini was the solution I was looking for.Things I like about the ismartgate Mini:- Compatible with phone apps like Google Home and Google Assistant- Kit comes complete with Hub, wireless sensor, batteries, wire to connect garage opener to hub and two-sided tape.- Good online support and videos, with a compatibility list to find if your garage opener is supported.- Strong connection to my 2.4GHZ WIFI network.- Ismartgate Mini hub supports USB to Ethernet connection (USB to Ethernet adapter not included)- The ismartgate App helps with purchase of extra equipment and the initial setup of your hub and wireless sensor. Once the setup is complete the app provides access, status, and your garage doors activity history.- The wireless sensor that mounts on the garage door also has a temperature sensor built-in and provide the current temperature of the garage/door from the ismartgate iOS/Android app.Things that I didn’t like:- The ismartgate app on my Android tablet was much easier to use and connect the ismartgate hub to my 2.4GHz WIFI network then the same ismartgate app on my iPhone. After the hub and wireless sensor was setup the ismartgate app on my iPhone works great with the ismartgate garage opener with no issues.- The provided two-sided tape is useless with very little grip to hold up the wireless sensor let alone the hub.The hub has a recess for a screw mount like a wall clock and I ended up using one screw and stronger two- sided tape to attach the hub to my Craftsman garage door opener. I used screws (not provided it the kit) to install the wireless sensor to my garage door.It’s nice to just say “Hey Google, open my garage door” and now have my 20 year old garage door opener do it.

I am using the Hörmann Promatic 2 garage door and this was just the right thing for automating my garage door. Easy installation and the Ismartgate app is decent. I can use google voice to command it and also by thumbnails on my homescreen on my smartphone to open/close the door as well as geofencing thanks to IFTTT app. I can recommend this to anyone wanting to wifi-connect their garage door for easy and straightforward use.

I just get a "Not found" error on the remote access page, it will connect to the device but the device seems dead.

No Alexa integration in Canada due to no support for IFTTT from Amazon. Support advised me to upgrade my GogoGate2 in order to regain Alexa integration through their smart skill. They did not advise that this was a USA only skill. Returning as my gogogate2 function exactly the same and I own so many Alexas that it's impossible to switch ecosystems to Google or Apples just for remote garage.
