Good for beginners to use

Very cool looking but the button came off on the first day. It can be finagled back in, but it will get lost eventually (bought it for a 9 year old boy). Can not be glued on as it would affect the functionality.

My expectations were pretty low, and yet, this item failed to even meet the lowest of expectations. The compass dial does not rotate at all. A large air bubble inside the sealed liquid chamber under the dial prevents leveling of the dial, thus preventing the dial from rotating...rendering the device completely useless as a functioning compass. Fortunately, Amazon has made it extremely easy to return this item for a full refund. For under $12, it was a risk-free gamble. I'll go back to Amazon and spend a few more dollars for higher quality compass.

Within a day of having this compass, the top piece fell out. This piece is what is pushed for the compass to open. It’s unable to be glued since it has to move up and down for it to open the compass. So the compass is useless at this point.

This compass is attractive and is nice if you use it as a prop for decor purposes . Other then that is is not very useful. I had it in my car and dropped it inside the car and the top button you press to open it popped right off. I can’t place it back without it falling off.
