So on 2:14/20 hyacinth tech came to do 7 month inspection on our NEW unit. He smelled gas and thought it was maybe right after or before cycle. He could not recreate. I ordered this and on 2/17/20 I had ordered 2 of 2 different units. On Friday 02/21/2020 both units started going off. Then stopped. I ordered a gas sniffer and on 2/28/2020 called have company again. Owner came out and found NEW unit had a bad plunger. Our house had a small gas leak that occasionally was letting out big leaks. We googled side effects and realized it has been affecting us. It saved my family lives

Have placed it next to our natural gas furnace and it has work now properly with no issues.

This thing is a piece of junk. After about 1 month it started to detect gas in my furnace room even though I did not smell anything, so I took the unit off the wall brought out away from the furnace and it continued to sound the alarm so I blew on it and the percent reading went up.

Easy installation. Perfect for the price. Easy to use near gas stove and gas dryer.

This little gadget is great. It took me all of 10 minutes to figure out how to install it. And it fits really well anywhere because the power supply wire is very long, and can be plugged into either side of the unit. So I plugged it in behind my TV (next to the propane fireplace), ran the cord under the floor moulding, and set this little gadget just inside the hearth on the floor. It virtually disappears and offers us a huge amount of peace of mind. Propane fireplaces have, after all, been known to fail! GET ONE!! You cannot go wrong.

I put this detector in my kitchen above the gas stove. I found out it responds not just to natural gas (methane) but to the vapor rising from fresh-cooked bread. Startling, but at least it says the detector is sensitive. The real bad point is that the backlight on the display went out yesterday, after 2 1/2 years, so the display can't be read without a flashlight. The red/yellow/green lights and the alarm sound still work, though, so it isn't useless.

The item works awesome. You plug it and forget it until it beeps and then you freak out... lol... But all jokes aside, you should check the instructions and make sure you have a proper plug within the appropriate range, this will not always be the case and if that happens you should be aware. If you do have a proper plug, then this will not let you down, great product.

Su instalación es fácil, lo probé dejando salir gas de la estufa y funcionó muy bien la alarma de concentración de gas

El aparato enciende como lo manifiesta en el instructivo. Sin embargo, al probarlo con Gas LP, no funcionó. No mostró cambio en la concentración de gas, como debería.
