semi-impressed (updated review)
I love the idea behind this item. Our disposal can get kind of funky at times, so I was looking forward to giving Plink a tryout. For the record, I ordered the 20-count value variety pack. I got 12 lemon, 6 orange, and 2 lemon-lime. If I had to pick a favourite scent, it would be the lemon-lime. It's much stronger and seemed to last a tiny bit longer than the others.So....After using half of them, I've come to the conclusion that these don't really pack much of a punch. The scent comes and goes all within a minute. Seriously, the scent doesn't stick around. And there is no "refreshing" the scent as mentioned in the instructions. Once you run the water, all the scent is gone for good.In all honesty, I personally think most people would be further ahead going to your local grocery store and buying one single average size lemon (probably less than a buck, unless you live in Nunavut), cutting it into about a dozen (or more) small wedges, then throw those wedges into a tupperware container or a baggie and keep it in the fridge. So now, a few nights per week, right before going to bed, grab one of the lemon wedges and toss it into the disposal and grind it up for 5-10 seconds. THAT will result in a much bigger blast of that fresh clean lemon scent that will last much longer and cost much much less than a package of Plink. You'll even smell it when you go to make your morning coffee.Still, I'll give Plink 3 stars because "it's okay". It does work, but is extremely underwhelming. I'm glad I tried it, but I won't buy it again. One tip I can offer others who might want to give these a go---Toss the included instructions in the disposal and forget you ever read them. Without getting into heavy detail, the printed instructions result in simply washing all the scent down the drain.I find you get the MOST scent (and longer lasting) if you drop in a Plink and then run the disposal for about 3-5 seconds WITHOUT water. Then just give it a short 1 or 2 second blast of cold water. Then shut off both disposal and water. THAT results in a decent blast of scent that actually sticks around for more than a minute.EDIT. I've come back to edit my review. No change in my rating, I just wanted to confirm that the best way of using Plink is the way I described originally. To repeat- Grind up one Plink with no water for 3-5 seconds, then a quick blast of cold water for 1-2 seconds, then shut off both water/disposal at the same time. THAT gives the best results with most scent released into the sink/kitchen. Doing it this way even allows you to get it to "refresh" up to an hour or so later. Still, the best cleaner/refresher is to just go out and buy a sacrificial lemon and cut it up into pieces. That'll be much more economical than buying Plink. My 2nd update---Against my better judgement I purchased a 2nd pack of these when my wife asked me to.I just do not get why these are so expensive. Honestly, they're a tiny little ball with can't be more than a few drops of fluid in them. Concentrated scent or not, they should not be more than 50 cents a plink. That's just nuts.Still, put then in dry, grind for a second or two, then rinse for another couple seconds. Otherwise you're just washing it all away. And as far as refreshing your entire kitchen. Yeah, right. Maybe if your kitchen is the size of a broom closet. I thought we had truth in advertising laws in Canada. I knocked a star off just for that. That is one bold claim.

Poor packaging resulting in loss
Be aware of delivery. Flimsy packaging resulting in product loss. Three arrived out of the entire package. Don't expect recourse as this product falls in the non-returnable category.I will say, the three that arrived did exactly what they promised

Helpful
Seems like a good product. I have only used a couple so far. I also think It might have helped in the summer when fruit flies were a problem here

Th only thing that worked!
I tried baking soda and vinegar, crushing ice cubes in the garburator, flushing it with hot water - nothing worked until this.
