Fun and challenging to build. Great instructions. Very rewarding once complete. Looks great on a shelf or could be played with. Lego products are always quality made and created with such amazing detail.

The LEGO Santa's Sleigh (40499) is a fantastic set, especially for the holidays! My kids (and I) absolutely loved building it. Cutest Lego set ever! My 7-1/2 year-old granddaughter put it together with no help in 4 hours. A few of the diagrams were a bit blurry, and a few were almost too tiny, but a magnifying glass helped her with that. The reindeer had been pre-assembled.

This is a great build with surprising details on the sled. The Santa is the standard Lego St. Nick that has been around for years, but the reindeer are new for me and their antlers are a softer rubber with some flexibility. There have been some fun reindeer builds over the years with bricks, but I like the details and overall look of these solid reindeer. The saddle block can come out allowing for some creativity if you want. The wide selection of toys overflowing is fun and Santa holds a huge “Nice List” 2x3 flat plate. Build time was roughly 45 minutes and I think experienced LEGO builders age seven and up (the box says 9+) could enjoy this with more time and the help of an adult. You can see from the pictures that I have hung ours using 12lb fishing line from our living room light fixture (I have a very understanding wife.) I actually purchased two sets so i could have a full regiment of eight reindeer. This set is something I’ll tear apart and put back in the box so i can rebuild it next Christmas. It’s probably my favorite holiday LEGO set now.

L'anno scorso mi avevano regalato l'albero di Natale della Lego e quest'anno mi sono voluto regalare questo set per decorare la casa a festa. Il set si compone di una sola minifigura, Babbo Natale, con le renne e la sua slitta carica di regali. Nel set ci sono anche delle parti da completare con l'applicazione di adesivi. Ho notato nell'assemblaggio che ci sono delle parti fragili che potrebbero facilmente staccarsi se sollecitare, come i finimenti che collegano la slitta con le renne. È sicuramente un set espositivo più che uno da gioco vero e proprio. Assegno cinque stelle perché esteticamente è un modello molto ben fatto e dettagliato ideale per addobbare la casa durante le feste natalizie.
