A Fine Inexpensive Guitar
I love inexpensive guitars. I rolled the dice on the Sonomaster after also considering a Kramer and and Ibanez. Other than needing the action lowered, which is pretty normal for most guitars in this price range, it was fine right out of the box. The necks, switch, control knobs and tuner knobs are very nice. Tremolo is typical and fine - I'm not a big trem user.Four months later, I replaced the strings with SIT 9-46es and all pickups have been replaced with Wilkinson units. I've had great success with Wilkinson pickups in other guitars and they're a lot stronger than the stock pickups.Overall, I'm very happy with this guitar and it's been a wonderful addition to the collection. Easy to modify and nice to play.
