Very thick and sturdy and looks great
I bought this for an es-335 style kit guitar that I bought. The original true rod cover was a triangle with the top point chopped off basically. Is was just textured black plastic and had 3 holes. I attempted to spray paint it white but it went horribly wrong so I bought this because it was coming in 2 days. It very glossy and the 3 ply looks really cool. It matches the 5 ply black and white binding on the guitar. The truss rod cover is a little short so there's like a 2 mm gap in between it and the nut, but I don't care, it's not very noticeable. And it's a bit skinnier than the original one, but it still covers up the 2 holes that I drilled for the old one. Probably a better fit on a normal les paul, but it still looks great on a purple 335!!

It mostly fits, on my schecter C1 diamond series
The plate covers up the truss rod hole well, but it is not a factory fit. It left a small 2MM gap at the nut. But for the price I am happy to live with it.

When drilling hole bigger, go easy.
Good product, hole to small.

Too small for Esp/Ltd
About 3mm too short for my Esp/Ltd guitars but I'll keep it because I'll probably have a use for it for another project.

Not-outstanding...
The measurements are from the outside beval at the bottom to the opposite beval at the tip. Where is the hole then? ... Well, it doesn't matter anyway because non of the "guitar" srews I have will fit through the very tiny hole. It is technically 3ply, those are also very thin. It was the same thickness as the 1 ply I am replacing.

no flaws, good quality.
Be sure to remove the protective plastic film on the surface before you screw it in. You will need a 1/8" panhead wood screw.

Too small for a PRS
This truss rod cover is about 4mm smaller for a PRS guitar which is like the most common size

Took too long to get and the item is too small for application
