Christmas in the Scottish Highlands: A heartwarming, feel-good Christmas romance to fall in love with Paperback – October 6, 2021

This novel felt like a Hallmark movie in book form that I could cozy up with in front of the fireplace. Belle lost her mother at a young age, and when she passed, her father sent her to live with her godmother, Annie, in Scotland. When we enter this story, Annie passed away a short time ago, and Belle is left all alone. This Christmas, though, everything changes. "Christmas in the Scottish Highlands" contains moments of love, hope, family, purpose, helping hands, and creating the Christmas spirit, and it even introduces my new favorite character - Bob the donkey! Grab a cup of hot cocoa, and enjoy this wonderful story!

This was a cute book we used for December book-club. It was a pretty quick read and not over the top cheesy, though there are some sprinkled in. The characters were likeable, and the story was good enough to keep the reader engaged. For those complaining about the one 'romantic' scene, we're adults here and that is what adults do. There's so much more in the story to focus on.Note: One page in the book came out during reading, no other pages were affected/missing

If your looking forwards to the holidays then this will get you into the spirit of Christmas. The characters are realistic, charming, kindness and unwavering love. A must read cozy and warm Christmas romance. Enjoy

Cute little Christmas tale. A little unimaginative. As romance goes… barely Luke warm. Story is slow moving. Characters develop ok—- but the drama is minimal in this way perhaps it was all too neat.

I read this book in January and it just made Christmas last longer! It was my first book by this author. It won't be my last. The characters just come alive from the pages. You're drawn in immediately into the transformation of Belle, Edina, Jack, Tara, and many others in Christmas Village, Scotland. I will admit every time I read about Bob, the donkey, I imaged him as the donkey in "Shrek." That was another plus.

Wonderful characters that you can care about. A story full of angst to keep you hoping for a happy resolution, and problems galore to block it all from happening! Except for the nasty sex, I loved this book!

I have been reading cozy mysteries for several years and love them; however, it’s always nice to have a change of pace. Christmas in the Scottish Highlands is such a feel good book. There are no mysteries or murders, just happiness. The book takes you away from all the problems of the world, and actually makes you want to be a better person. The author, Donna Ashcroft, is such a good author that I ordered more of her books. You will not be disappointed with this book.

Who couldn't love a Christmas story with a donkey, tiaras and a nativity play. Liked the Christmas lists and lessons the characters learned to ask for what you want and two sides to every situation. Anymore of Jack's friend and wife coming?

A lovely story that will certainly help to put one in the Christmassy mood. Loved the characters.

Gemütlich mit einer Tasse Tee im warmen sitzen und das Buch lesen. Die Geschichte ist wunderschön, spannend und weihnachtlich. Perfekt, wenn man gerne Liebesgeschichten ließt. Durch die Detailreiche Beschreivung fühlt es sich an, als wäre man selbst in Schottland. Habe direkt danach den weiteren Teil bestellt.
