Very impressed
I wanted a smart watch with colourful, easy to read screens and certain functionality to replace an ageing monochrome Fitbit. The Amazfit 3 GTR Pro ticks all the boxes plus more that I find useful. Being elderly, however, I shall not be testing most of the fitness programmes apart from walking. The screen is large and easy to read. There is an abundance of watch faces to choose from, 4 preinstalled and more free of charge from the app store including some that are animated or can be customised. They are all attractive and with the brightness turned up can be read without problem in bright sunlight. My favourite watch face is animated which reduces the battery life even though it is not set to always on, but I still get 5 to 6 days before recharging, which takes up to 2 hours. Alexa works well as long as the watch is not too far from my Samsung android smart phone. I have figured out how to receive gmail messages on the watch and they are easily legible. Notifications arrive promptly from Google Calendar and I like the countdown and counter apps. On the negative side for some users perhaps, I can't get the wallet to work but this doesn't matter to me as I have it on the mobile; it doesn't count the stairs even though they are listed under Activity and there is no wi-fi. In some respects, it seems that the watch and mobile app don't mirror each other. Despite those negatives, I am delighted with the purchase. It is a high quality product at a good price.

Simple to use
After looking around for a watch that has both digital & anologue time along with date and backlit I had no luck and didn't feel I was getting my money's worth. I've been wondering whether to get a smart watch for a while now and after researching settled on this one, it charges reasonably quick and I can change the watch face to suit. I've still got work out all the other capabilities but the platform is simple to use and the watch doesn't look to sporty for daily wear. Im happy with the purchase!

Really good vfm watch, but a couple of serious glitches
This is a potentially brilliant smart watch, huge value for money if you get it for £85, let down by a few annoying glitches. The good. Great watch faces, including your own photos ( the moon one in the pic is mine) Big display, and it's a good looking device. The included apps are a very good range of useful stuff, and it's easy to manage so the ones you want are at the front. Many of the apps are very easy to use and once you get used to menus, you can make tweaks to suit you. You can set the button response as well as the first 2 right slide, so for example I set the weather on one slide right, and my linked Google calendar on the next one, and linking stuff from my phone (Google pixel) is easy. Great, 10+ day battery in normal use But ... It doesn't, in the UK, detect afib. I read the watch is capable, but hasn't got a license as a medical device. My previous (versa4) did have this, and it was accurate. The pulse rate detector sometimes goes wrong. In the middle of a workout it says my pulse dropped from 120 to 61. It so didn't!. This happens a lot. It doesn't have the brilliant map capability the Bip6 has, just directions using an app. So, good. I like it. I think it's great vfm, but on balance I will probably wear the Bip6 more

Would recommend!
Great piece of kit. Does everything you need from a smart watch. Step counter is accurate and tracks your movements when you're on a run etc. Only thing I didn't get on with was the wrist strap it came with but bought an alternative so no dramas!

A massive upgrade from the first gen amazfit gtr I had.
I am very very happy with this watch. The watch face choices have a great variety and some I really, really like. The screen pops the watch faces beautifully. For me this is a hugely important. I've had a watch since I was 14. I'm now 60. So I've gone through a few watches in my time. Changing watches has usually meant buying a different watch. I've also wanted a watch for years now that could take a call or make a quick call. I keep my phone in a bag. So by the time I dig it out the call is gone. A quick message of "where are you?" , "I'm nearly there", "I'll see you at the checkout", is really convenient. Those I've briefly chatted to say they can hear me perfectly. Where I feel this watch has really upgraded is the interface of the buttons and how they make a lot of sense when using it at a sports watch for tracking your training. The buttons feel great and work as a sports watch should. A small thing like pausing your workout with a press of a button instead of having to try touch a screen when you've got gloves on or have long sleeved clothing covering the watch. Also I've found the sports activities I do including Tai Chi. So I can track them in Zepp the fitness app. The weight training app works with doing sets and a timer in between for rest period. It works really well. The screen is bright in sunlight which is very important. The always on screen choices have increased and look great from classical to a modern look. The watch strap(brown) feels crap so I put the strap from my previous watch on. What a difference. I've no idea why they decided to go stiff and cheap with the strap. That feel is so important. I'' be getting another strap for it seeing as there are similar designs to the original one I have. Comparing this to the original GTR they've really jumped forward a lot. I don't ever wear a device when I sleep so sleep tracking isn't important to me. If your sleep is rubbish because your watch says so... how's that going to improve your sleep? I know this extra tracking is a deal breaker for some but certainly not for me. This watch offers all the features I've wanted in the samsung watches for a lot less. One can put songs on the watch too and connect via bluetooth. I guess if you're going running without a phone this will be very useful. I use a small hip(bum) bag and slide it into my lower back. Since I learnt this trick I never notice my phone.

Good, until it wasn't.
I've had this about 3 years now and it has been a good, and highly functional, watch and a worthy upgrade from the basics Fitbit which I had been using. To be fair there's a lot of functionality which I've just not got to grips with which may just be a Me Problem, but I've never really got the Alexa functions to work usefully and although I thought I would use the music player it's been fiddly to get working and just easier to use another device. That said, the activity tracking has been very useful to track my declining fitness The problems started a year or so ago in the shape of a steadily increasing area of the touchscreen that failed to respond. Eventually this meant that many of the functions became unusable and, for example, the phone call alert could not be dismissed from the touchscreen which effectively hid the watch face until it is reset. Eventually I lost patience and tried to replace the screen but that didn't solve the problem either and I'm left with a watch that is now more trouble than it's worth

What a terrible purchase
I was very happy to recieve this Amazfit GTR 3 PRO Watch. It was a treat for myself at the start of November. It took me about 2 days to get everything sorted out. It did everything I wanted. Calls in and out, sleep data, steps etc. Everything working as it should. Even using Alexa. Then in mid December 2022, ZEPP released an app update for the GTR. It was downloaded and installed. Since then, the only thing that works on the watch is the time, steps and sleep data. NO Phone calls can be made or recieved. No text. Not even Alexa. Every time I try Alexa, it tells me to use the latest update and register Alexa. I have uninstall the app and reloaded it several times. I have reset the watch several times. I have requested assistance via a ZEPP fault reporting form and the email address is not valid. I have sent ZEPP details in every method possible. I was hoping that 6 weeks later, ZEPP would have resolved the app issues or reinstated the initial app that worked. The GTR 3 PRO is no longer fit for purpose thanks to ZEPP. I am so very disappointed. I shall be requesting a return and refund. Well, nothing happened 2 years 12 days later I quit the watch. There were so many problems that I reported to ZEPP and NEVER had an acknowledgement or a reply. Ir wad so frustrating the watchbtelling me to takecacwslk because I'd been sat for an hour, "DRIVING". Even though the watch boasts a GPS, it never recognised that I was travelling beyond walking and running speed. There were many occasions where I would have to get up early or went to bed late. Then the watch was effectively scolding me and telling me to take care as if I'm a child. After the December update, the "Alexia App", only every worked twice. This watch may just as well be advertised as a "Nanny Watch". Do not waste your money.

Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Wonderful smart watch.
Amazing Smart watch, it's has a lot of fitness templates to use when you are doing sport. I don't have any problems to connect to a android phone or iPhone. The Amzip app is great you can also send music to your watch and go fo a run just with your headphones 🎧 and your watch.
