Easy to follow and handle.

This is an absolutely lovely coloring book focusing on the Japanese countryside and people in traditional dress. In its pages, you’ll find mountains, lakes, pagodas, temples… all with tranquil views that would be relaxing to color. There are even a few animals featured, like koi fish. The level of detail makes this coloring book best for teens and adults. For each illustration, the publisher provides a color palette. I’ve reviewed other books by this publisher, and I always wish they included a tip section so you could more easily emulate the beautiful covers. That is the only deficiency in this book, however. If you are a fan of traditional Japanese countryside and people illustrations, you will most likely enjoy this coloring book.I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Includes 20 full paged designs which are a combination of intricate and larger spaced designs reflective of title. I enjoyed the different theme and loved the darker print not found in earlier Astoria Coloring books. Much less eye strain and still easy enough to color over with the right medium. I think watercolor paints, watercolor markers and, colored pencils work well especially if you remove the page or put a blotting paged under the one you are working on.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This coloring book is a great way to relax. It was easy and relaxing. I like to keep busy, so it was something that I would take to keep myself occupied and calm when I have a long wait or am stressed out. I just Loved it, it was so much fun!
