Wonderful Prayers in a Wonderful Translation
I am a Catholic who loves the writings of Tagore. This great writer and poet was a Hindu but he was so intensely monotheistic that some of his fellow Hindus did not see him as being a genuine Hindu. As a result, his prayers can be prayed by Christians, Jews, Muslims, and by so many others without any doctrinal difficulty. Spiritual nourishment!

Lovely
I enjoyed reading this very much. The language is heady and the points he wants to make are powerful and full of love. I read it all in one shot and then started it over. Very nice.

The Heart of God: Prayers of Rabindranath Tagore
This is one of the most amazing books of spiritual reflections and prayers that can touch people of almost any faith tradition. The prayers are poems that are deep, beautifully and refreshingly poetic, insightful, authentic, and human. I continue to be stunned by the depth and beauty of the pieces.

Perfect for use as part of a daily reading or meditation
This well-chosen collection of Tagore’s writings is perfect for use as part of a daily reading and/or meditation. Each reading quickly immerses you into the heart and mind of a man who lived his life with the certain knowledge that the inner Self’s connection to the Holy is supreme, existing above all things and considerations. Through Tagore’s simple but elegant prose that effortlessly encompasses and relates the mundane, the cosmic, and transcendent, readers will be pointed to that same supreme truth if they will but open themselves to it.

A perfect collection for seekers of God's heart
Tagore is a wonderful poet - even a philistine like me, who never reads poetry, can appreciate that. Never over-flowery and never using two words when one can suffice, these meditations cut straight to the heart of what it means to pray: to give voice to a hunger for something deeper and to express a longing that only God can fill. These poems suggest that the author himself was a man of humility and child-like faith, and this is surely a book of prayers that a person of any religion and none can appreciate. My personal favourite is 'That I want You, only You, let my heart repeat without end'. A great interpretation of great poems.

Nobel Peace Prize Poet
Very reflective poetry, evoking the struggle of being human and the connection with the spirit. I could feel the places he described.
