I should start by saying I wear wool tank tops and T-shirts year round. They are warm in the winter, cool in the summer, don't hold odors, and are a lot easier to care for than most people think. I purchased two of these tank tops on two separate occasions - I liked the first one enough to go back for a second - and I am very pleased with the purchases. The style I chose was the full coverage tank; the racerback style doesn't appeal to me. Luckily, the full coverage style is available in peach and denim (navy), and both colors are very attractive. I wouldn't mind seeing this style in other colors.Before I purchased these tops, I carefully read all the reviews (paying close attention to the 1-star reviews), and I had none of the problems other people mentioned. I sew, consequently I am not only super-picky about construction, but I am well able to evaluate it. The back and side seams are flat-felled (like the seams in blue jeans) so they are durable and not likely to give, even under extreme stress. The hem is curved - a nice touch that's most often seen in men's dress shirts - and double stitched. Again, durable and not likely to give way under stress. The neck and armhole openings are finished with bias strips so they lay flat and will hold their shape over time. Wow, I'm impressed - and I don't impress easily.The fabric is wool - no doubt about that - and lightweight, making these tops perfect as a base layer in winter and a stand-alone item in summer. It's soft and comfortable, and warmer than I expected. I haven't had a chance to try them in summer, but I routinely wear wool in our 90+ degree summers so I am not expecting any issues. I noticed that some people complained about variations in the color, but my tops have consistent color throughout. As for translucency, again, no problems. I suspect a skin-tight fit might result in some show-through problems, but that's a matter of incorrect sizing and not the fabric. So if that's something of concern for you, just size up.If you're planning to machine wash these items - and I do - be prepared to use a mesh laundry bag, a gentle wash cycle and block them when they come out of the washer. Dry them flat on a drying rack or a towel, and it only takes an hour or two. And there's no need to wash them after every wear. Wool is able to go several wearings between washes, so you need to change your mindset if you want to get the most out of your wool items. (I know, it was hard for me, too, at first, but if we're going to use the natural fabrics our grandmothers used, we need to care for them the same way our grandmothers did.)I would absolutely recommend these tank tops, and my only caveat is check the style carefully because the full coverage tanks are mixed in with the racerback tanks, so make sure you know which one you are buying.

This simple t-shirt, which was surprisingly well priced, is a steal. It's as soft as you'd expect from merino wool. It's very light and comfortable. To ensure the fit is right, check the sizing chart on the page. Once you do, and order the right size, it's a great fit. It looks good with jeans, leggings, and more. I will be buying a few more of these soon!

I love the feel of this shirt and it is not itchy. I like the longer length of the sleeves. I ordered navy. It is a very bright navy blue! I checked measurements and it fits but wish it was at least 1 inch longer.My only complaint is they put a stiff scratchy feeling product tag on bottom left front that is very annoying against skin. I would remove it but it is sewn into hem. Since they have logo on left edge of sleeve it could go. I would prefer no logo as shirt would look much dressier without it.My next wool blend shirt will be to try Quince one as without any branding it can go to office or trail.

This garment runs small and short. Factor this into your buying decision.

I have worn this multiple times now. It is the perfect alone or as a layering piece. This wool is so breathable and odor resistant. I wore it three days in a roll and it's shape still held up. This is one of those items you want in multiple colors. I wash in cold water and line dry. Holds its shape every time. Great quality.

I wanted light weight merino wool for the camino de Santiago pilgrimage. I ordered this one first and LOVE it so much. It's lightweight, stretchy, fits perfectly, soft comfortable fabric. It's a perfect length. I took a nap in it and realized I could sleep in it and just live in it. It's not too sheer so is perfect as outer wear. I loved it so much, I started ordering more of the same shirts in different colors.Be aware merino tech has two listing sites on amazon. One with "free" wool socks although the end price of the t-shirts ends up being about $3 more. Not bad for free socks. There are 2 styles of t-shirts - crew neck and V neck.The shirt I ordered this time is the light grey v neck - they call it silver striped although it's not really striped. It just has some lighter color threading mixed in giving it more of a slightly heathered color but really it's a silver grey color overall.I will review each of the other colors and styles separately. Just realize they are all different. This particular shirt is made in Thailand and doesn't come with free socks. I haven't received one shirt I like (different fabric - scratchy) from their free sock listing and they were all made in PRC - China.Good luck. It might be safer to order from this exact listing if you want nicer fabric and not made in PRC. Although I haven't ordered all colors so I can't be sure. I got another that wasn't as expected (ebony grey crew neck - made in PRC) and another that I love (baby pink V neck - made in Thailand).

Wears and washes well. Very comfortable.
