This product worked fine on the easy to remove stuff. It was unable to remove the heavier stains. Even after 5 attempts on one stain. Oh and it didn’t include the brush

Will this product make your fireplace look better than before? Absolutely. Will it make your fireplace look like new? Of course not (I wasn't expecting it to). The semi-charred stones will look good to great. The jet black stones simply don't clean with this.

I have tried all kinds of cleaners for my stone fireplace. I have a limestone slab for a mantle that was covered with soot and rust from an old steel insert. I’ve tried other cleaners that removed some soot, or removed some of the rust, but this product took care of all the stains. The fireplace is over 50 years old and looks almost new again. I’m really happy with the results. I had to use 2 applications, but the results after the first application were better than any of the other cleaners I’ve used. Make sure to have extra towels on hand as you rinse it.

I bought a house built in 1949 and there was a lot of dark buildup on the fireplace. It took a few scrubs with lots of this gel and hot water, but what a difference! No more black soot!!

Used it on fireplace bricks. Did not work for us. Acetone ( nail polish remover) did work well.
