Invented in 1936, Churchill MAKAPUU FINS utilize a patented dolphin arc shape that provides great maneuverability and propulsion which gives you optimum control for catching waves, whether bodyboarding, swimming the surf, travel fins, bodysurfing, casual swimmers or tight space snorkeling ect. In fact, many professional bodysurfers use the Makapuu Fins due to the acceleration and control they provide. The fins are very well balanced compared to other fins out there. They can be used with any skill level for a number of different activities. They are in the mid power range providing a good amount of thrust while still being comfortable. The rubber covering your foot is soft for complete comfort while the rubber found on the blade is stiff for more kick power. BC Surf & Sport team highly recommends this fin. In fact, we rated Makapuu’s as our #1 recommendation. Many of us wear Makapuu’s and love them. They are great for anyone from beginners to pro’s. Bonus mesh carrying bag included with every pair! Swimfin Weight: 3.0 lb per pair

These fins have been the standard for those interested in Boggie Boarding in the surf, especially during rough conditions

The Best!
I've had a couple pairs of these over the years-- just a great pair of fins. Comfortable, not too stiff, and they stay on! I looked around at a bunch of other brands, but stayed with Churchill. I would definitely recommend them!

Heavy bodysurfing or boogie board fins.
Heavy bodysurfing or boogie board fins. More suitable for the largest surf. Too heavy and powerful for swimming pool laps. Very durable synthetic rubber construction is stiff; hard to put these on and take off on 10' waves. They do not float: use keeper straps with Churchill fins.

Buyer beware!
I dont believe these are authentic Curchills. They dont fit like my real pair and the rubber is an inferior quality. I will be returning them as soon as I get back from vacation

A good fit for size 14
My husband had a pair of these years ago that he outgrew. He's pleased with the fit for his size 14 feet. There's even a little extra room. The fins are quite stiff, and work great for body surfing and boogie-boarding.

They make me swim faster
These fins replaced some that were over 30 years old. The rubber in the originals finally deteriorated. The originals were made in Malaysia, the new ones are made in China. They function just as well. I hope they last as long. I'll do an update in 30 years.
