"CAPTIVATING, EXCITING, ENTERTAINING!"
My daughter and I watched this over the weekend, and loved it! We love animals and adventure. This intriguing movie has it all! Ryan Tyler is a 10 year old boy, who is encouraged by his mom to take a trip to China to visit his father. Ryan's dad is a director of a preserve for endangered Giant Pandas. Ryan is not too thrilled to go to China, but goes anyway. When he arrives, a great adventure begins as Ryan attempts to save a baby panda bear. He ventures off without permission from his father, and must learn how to survive. He saves the life of the young panda from heartless poaches. This thrilling journey for Ryan is packed with action in a picture-perfect setting of sweeping landscapes. Sound effects are good, and the unique characters come to life. A great adventure the entire family would enjoy. 'The Amazing Panda Adventure' entertains from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Beautiful
This filmed in China has it all!! The locations are magnificent, the acting is good, and the plot is very well developed. Let's face it, how can you go wrong with such a cute lead character. If you do not find pandas to be almost the cutest animal there is, you will probably not be charmed by this film. I was struck with how good the boy is that plays the lead. It is not easy to work with animals they always steal the scene, but he did an outstanding job of holding up his character. The two Chinese actors were excellent. This one is for the whole family. The plight of the panda is well developed here, without being overdone

Alaska was Amazing! Born To Be Wild was good, Amazing Panda Adventure, Not so great.
Alaska was amazing... 4 stars... Born to be wild 3 and 1/2 stars. Amazing Panda Adventure Not so good 2 and 1/2 stars.Alaska - Dirk Benedict (The A-Team) plays a father who delivers toilet paper to people in dire need of them. He gets into a plane crash and the two children look for their missing father who is pretty much looking over a cliff with broken limbs. They find a polar bear, and it is a good movie.Born To Be Wild - a kids works for a local gorilla lab and he is friends with a Gorilla who knows about love and honor. He tries to free the Gorilla from her laboratory captivity. The Amazing Panda Adventure - It was so hard to get into, I didn't really care for the plot. It seems it was kind of like Born To Be wild in a way, but not as likeable.

Pleased!
My son, two, is definatly into animals. We had seen Alaska on TV and I really wanted to get him the DVD. I found this three pack and was even more impressed than I thought I would be. For the price of one movie, we got three movies in one and were able to enjoy all of them. It has been a true joy, to watch these animal movies with my son pointing out each animal and getting excited about them. Definatly, worth the purchase.

It’s educational and fun to watch!
I loved the movie and used it in my classroom for a unit on pandas/China, but it was VHS. I wanted to share it with my grandchildren, so I upgraded it, and have been very happy with its format!

Absorbing
I have to now admit that my family have had what can only be described as a "Panda Neurosis" for some time. We have upwards of 20 specimens in our house, belonging to our various 5 kids, and the pandas all have personalities of their own.Well, this happened because we wanted to be a good mom and dad and we really, over the years, got more like our kids than my parents ever did. We were fascinated by the stories they made up about their bears and pandas (not many at first), and then we sort of joined up in the middle somewhere. So here we are, with our own home grown mythology... and here we are with this, another Panda story, someone else's mythology (if that's what it is) this time a film, and this time round, you can see the creatures themselves. Marvellous! Its odd how awe inspiring this is. Considering that this is theoretically a B movie, in many respects it's a major work. The camera work is really excellent. I know enough about the difficulties of filming in remote locations to appreciate just how carefully much of this was put together, the choices of location are wonderful and the photography amazing.I really treasure the memories of looking through copies of National Geographic with my boys when they were tiny, and looking at the pandas, and pictures of Africa, elephants, and so forth. All amazing, and, there's that word again, ... awesome.China is a beautiful country, and are planning to go next year. But if we couldn't go, maybe one should argue that there should be more films like this for us folks at home, showing off God's reckless moments!I am using this film to talk to the younger kids about geology and geography, and it's been quite a useful resource. I think that the films funny moments are nicely done, and overall, there is a degree of sensitivity and gentleness which is unusual and special. The film equaly avoids silly sentimentality or other excesses and works well on many fronts, being fairly realistic especially. It would not be too hard at all to imagine a sequel to this, maybe when the little boy gets a bit bigger, maybe meeting the Chinese girl again... Who knows?

ALASKA Included
March'14, Purchased this DVD collection, mainly for ALASKA. I like the story, and to see Dirk Benedict in something other than A-TEAM series 1983-6. Sadly - ALASKA was not included in the package, so I returned item. Amazon removed item from list until they solved the problem with the supplier.August'14, I noticed ALASKA Triple Feature available again, ordered and Happy to report 'ALASKA' is included on its own disc'. Great movie + Cast Crew interview Bonus. Other 2 movies 'Amazing Panda' takes us to China, 'Born to be Wild' takes us to Hawaii. Great to travel the world from my comfy-chair, and be entertained with these Family stories. Worth every penny. Thanks Amazon, for solving the problem.
