Love these books it brought up good topics on conversations to have with young kids without being graphic. The ends of the books also have period photos and explanations. On to the next character!

The box part might be a little beaten up, but only ever so slightly. The actual books themselves are in wonderful condition, no markings or bent pages. I can't wait to take a trip down memory lane with this series now having a daughter of my own and reading these with her. I absolutely adore Samantha out of the entire American Girls collection. She was my favorite one to read about out of all of them.

I was looking for a set of these books for a Christmas gift. I believed them to be "Like New" and was very very very disappointed when I received an "acceptable" set that really was something I wouldn't have even paid half that price for if I'd seen them elsewhere.

I got this set of books for my granddaughter for Christmas 2010. She had just received a Samantha doll from her Great Aunt. Well, we have just finished reading all 6 books and loved every one of them! My granddaughter didn't want me to stop at reading just one, she wanted me to keep reading, she was so interested in the stories! I read until I began to cough from a dry throat! LOL We both loved the history lesson that followed each story. The little snippet about the next book didn't help at all! Ha Ha! That just made her want me to read another book! Now we need to read the Nellie book!

This was a lovely used set in very good condition. Of course, the story has been good since they first came out years ago.
