Loop end of the string came apart a half step out
I bought these strings to use on a long neck banjo and when stringing up the 1st string the loop end of the string came undone under tension. There are two .009 strings in the package and both are the same length so I tried the second one and the same thing happened. I've never seen that happen.

Easy to Play
Trying these because of a friend's recommendation and find them to be very easy to play with these arthritic hands.

Five Stars
Best string out there hands down, getting harder to find these for some reason, hope they dont discontinue.

John Pearse Light Banjo Strings
I've been using John Pearse Light's for about two years: first on my cheap but tweaked Epiphone MB-100 and then on my Somerset S-5. I play clawhammer in a folk/frailing style, and these strings are just perfect for my hand. They feel ultra-flexible and left-hand effects are easy to do. I'm tempted to buy a case of them to prevent getting caught short if the company disappears. That said, these are not the right strings for every banjo player or every instrument. If you have an ultra-short scale travel banjo or if you want a louder, more solid sound, these are probably not for you.
